Intel REALTEK nc-r150201 Network Adapter - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

Hi,

Chances are, if you're getting some error/code with this specific hardware (and you're unable to resolve it), it may be easier/cheaper/faster to disable or replace it, either with a different NIC (preferably a different make/model), or a USB wireless stick. Not all situations allow for replacement, but if that is an option, I would recommend it.

I've had to do this in the past. Ended up saving quite a bit of time, money and effort.

Good Luck!

Yahya, in your situation I'm pretty sure that the specified driver for your LAN card has been installed already. Try plugging out the rj45 from your network switches, router or modem. Or turn off those devices I mentioned earlier and then restart your computer.

the chip of my card is labelled as RTL8139D, download RTC (not RTL) 8139D driver (517kb) for XP from http://www.intextechnologies.com/support-and-downloads.aspx ,
it works now.

you will need to open up your network connections

click start control panel network connections this may vary depending on your operating system look for local area connection if you see a red X or a yellow exclamation or question mark ! ?

you will need to update or install the driver or it could be firewalled

click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll to network adapters should see a yellow question mark? right click install drivers

the driver might be on the disc supplied by your ISP internet service provider
or the motherboard disc or you might download one if you dont have on a disk

Make sure you Ethernet is enabled in bios restart your computer during the boot up process you will see on your screen a certain key to

press to enter set up (BIOS) press and hold that key to enter bios using arrow keys scroll to intergrated peripherals

look for SiS On Chip Pci Device press enter scroll to SiS 10/100m press enter make sure its enabled

hope this helps

click start type cmd press enter you will be in DOS mode

type in ipconfig press enter

you will see all of your internet connection details

or type in your default gateway adress into your internet search should read something like 10.0.0.138 to get an inertnet connection

The drivers that you need for devices such as sound, video, scanners, ethernet cards, etc. Are usually contained on a driver CD that was shipped from the manufacturer with the device. If you do not have this CD, you will have to visit the manufacturer's website to download the drivers that you need. For your network adaptor drivers go to http://www.realtek.com

Once you get to the website, look in the support or downloads section of the site for the model number of your device.and select the drivers you need for download.
In the event that you cannot locate the driver(s), look for a "contact us" link on the website support or home page. This link will provide you with contact information (phone or E-mail) and allow you communicate your problem to them.
Good luck. And if you find this information to be of value to you, please return to the FixYa web site and rate this response to your question.
