How do I import recipes
You need to use the merge tool.
To convert 4.x cookbooks
You can use the standard File->Open menu option within the MasterCook
program to convert your cookbooks. You simply (1) click on "File" and
then "Open...", (2) navigate to your MasterCook 4.x Cookbook (they have
an .mcf file extension). and (3) click OK.
To convert 4.x ingredient files
If your MasterCook 4.x ingredient file contains data you would like in
the new version, you will need to download a Merge and Convert tool or
"patch" to convert the data. Download and install the tool as follows:
1) Click on the "Download Patch" button below
2) When asked to "open" (or run) from the current location or "save", choose "open" (or run).
3) You will get a window that says the installation was successful and provides basic usage instructions.
At this point the merge and convert tool is installed on your system and
has added commands to your right-click menus. Now you simply need to
right-click on the version 4.x "user.ing" file to convert and merge the
ingredients into the current MasterCook. You can do this as follows:
1) Close the MasterCook program if it is running.
2) Find the MasterCook 4.x user.ing file. You can do this two
ways. The more advanced method is to Windows Explorer to navigate to
the MasterCook 4.x "user.ing" file. The simpler method is to use
Windows Search. To use Windows Search, just click on your start menu,
and then click on Search (this is actually "Find" for Windows 98 users).
Select the Files and Folders option. Enter user.ing in the first text
entry field and click the "Search Now" button ("Find Now" on Windows
98). When the search is complete, the search results window should have
found 1 user.ing file.
3) Use your mouse to right-click on the file. Select "Convert MasterCook 4.x ingredient file" from the popup menu.
4)Your ingredients should now be converted and merged into the new MasterCook.

I have a crane 181 with a nayax reader. It's only flagging 11 MDB codes. Any answer as to why? Firmware has been up
Without more information, it's challenging to determine the exact reason why your crane 181 with a Nayax reader is only flagging 11 MDB codes. However, here are a few potential reasons why you may be experiencing this issue:
- Compatibility: Not all vending machines and readers are compatible with each other. Make sure that your Nayax reader is compatible with the Crane 181 vending machine.
- Reader configuration: Check the configuration settings of your Nayax reader to ensure that it is set up correctly for the Crane 181 vending machine.
- Communication issues: Check the communication between the Nayax reader and the vending machine. If the communication is interrupted, it may not flag all the MDB codes.
- Faulty Reader: Your Nayax reader may be faulty or damaged. In this case, you may need to replace the reader or have it repaired.
- Firmware: Even if your firmware has been updated, there may still be compatibility issues between the Nayax reader and the Crane 181 vending machine. Double-check the compatibility of your firmware with both devices.
It's best to contact the manufacturer of your Crane 181 vending machine and Nayax reader to get specific support for your issue.
