Paper is being fed at an angle

This is sort of scenario could be caused by dust inside the printer. Dust prevents the rollers from having a firm grip on the paper while picking paper. When one roller has a firm grip and rolls the paper well while the other doesn't, jam/crumpling results or sometimes paper goes in at an angle. So I will suggest you get a long handle brush and try to reach as far inside the printer as possible and brush (from the back and front; if you have a blower please use it as well). This, if properly done should do it. Brush especially the rollers etc.

Hi the paper roller on the legt hand side of the

You would need to either get a broken one with this roller intact and replace the part, or contact lexmark for a replacement ( it it still under warranty btw?). Then take it to a computer repair shop to have it fixed

In total, this would probably be more than the cost of getting a replacement printer

My Lexmark 6500 Series AIO Printer just started

Run the Clean Print Nozzles test

    1. Go to the Lexmark Control Program/Solution Center and run the Clean Print Nozzle test. The colors you should see are:
      - black, if a black cartridge is installed
      - yellow, magenta (a reddish purple) and cyan (a dark sky-blue), if the color cartridge is installed. NOTE: The colors may be different if a photo cartridge is installed.

    2. Observe the diagonal lines above and below the solid horizontal lines. These diagonal lines should be solid from left to right, with no gaps.

    3. If there are gaps in the lines, run the Clean Print Nozzle page a few more times to try and clear up the issue, or try the cleaning ("wicking") procedure below to conserve ink.

    4. If the page is faded from left to right and the cleaning procedure does not clear up the issue, the cartridge is probably out of ink. Replace the cartridge.

Clean the cartridges

    1. Remove the cartridges from the printer following the instructions in the printer's User's Guide.

    2. Take a warm, damp paper towel and fold it so that it has about 4 to 6-ply thickness.

    3. Set the ink cartridge right side up on the damp paper towel so that the ink nozzles are touching the towel. (The nozzles are where the ink comes out of the cartridge.) Hold the cartridge in this position for about 15 seconds.

    4. Now drag the cartridge lightly across the paper towel in one direction only (left to right) until the bottom of the cartridge looks clean.

    5. Install the cartridges following the instructions in the User's Guide. IMPORTANT! Make sure you select Old cartridge. Failure to do so could reset the ink levels, as explained above.

    6. Repeat the nozzle cleaning procedure one more time.

    7. The diagonal lines should now be solid. If not, contact the Lexmark Technical Support Center by e-mail and describe the results of this test.

Where is the ink located at

You can access the cartridge area if you lift the entire scanner unit up. (see image below)
printtech_20.jpg
Make sure the printer is on. When the scanner unit is lifted up, the print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position to the center.
If you're going to replace the cartridges, squeeze the tabs on the cartridge lids, and then lift the lids.
Remove the used cartridges and install the new ones and snap the lid closed.
Lift the scanner unit and push the scanner support back while lowering the scanner unit until it is completely closed.
Hope this information has been helpful. Thanks.

Fails to print even though it has new cartigages

Mostly, printer cartridge error occurs when the printer head is unable to identify the cartridge properly. And the basic reason behind this is that the cartridge is improperly attached. To reattach the cartridge, turn on the lid of the printer and then remove the cartridge from the printer head. Check the cartridge to make sure that there are no scratches or other damaged parts that can contribute to a printer cartridge error report. Take note that the cartridge should not be left open for more than 30 minutes; otherwise the ink will start to dry up and the cartridge will get clogged.
