Motion Computing M1300 Tablet PC Questions & Answers
My m1300 works great as
Hello,
Take the battery out of your device and inspect the pins on the tablet. If they are very dirty or if something is stuck between pins, it could cause the battery to fail at transferring the correct power for the device in order for it to stay on. If all the pins look ok and it still doesn't work after putting the battery back in, you may have an issue with the motherboard which will need to be serviced by the manufacture.
Here are some battery LED codes from the manual:
LED steady green --> battery 100% charged AC plugged in
LED steady amber --> battery charging AC plugged in
LED steady red --> battery overheated or defective (replace it)
LED flashing green and amber --> battery discharging abnormally (replace it)
LED slow-flashing amber --> 10% battery charge remaining AC unplugged
LED fast-flashing amber for only a few seconds --> 3% battery charge remaining AC unplugged

Disconnect the battery, unplug it, then open it up. There should be a small round battery called the CMOS battery somewhere in there. Pull that out. Then plug your computer in and boot it up without the CMOS battery. It should say password disabled. Turn it off, disconnect it, put it back together, and you're good to go.
I have a dead band on the screen of my tablet that
A common problem with the 1200/1300 models apparently. This can be resolved temporarily by rubbing your thumbs (a little pressure) along the bezel/screen edges at the sides of the dead band to re-establish edge connector contacts.
I have 2 such dead bands (1 vertical & 1 horizontal), this technique works on one of them but not the other, still looking for a permanent solution, have tried Motion but they state that they no longer support this model but seem reluctant to offer any info for a home fixer. Any info anyone.
I cannot even find the eraser in one note
Hello,
In One Note 2003, the eraser is to the right of the pen.
If for some reason you cannot see it anymore, you may reset ONE NOTE to its default options.
To do that (for ON2003) you click Help>Detect and Repair. In the window that pops up put a check mark in the box Discard my customized settings and restore default settings.
This should restore your toolbar.
Better yet, look for the small down arrow (with tooltip :toolbar options) and click it.
>Add remove buttons >Standard .
In the window that unfolds, make sure that the eraser is cheked. (For OneNote2003)
Hope it helps
Tablet starts up and goes right back off
That almost sounds like a dead battery, or your battery isn't holding a charge. Have you tried using it while it is still connected to the charger? If you do have it hooked to the charger power and it stays on, it's a bad battery. If if does the same thing while plugged in, it's a problem with the power supply in the tablet.
