I have the Power Shot SD 110. When I turn the camera on the word Canon on the blue background appears. Then the screen flashes black and white lines and then the screen turns to a strange black and white floating image. Thanks, Lynn

As the other user described, i have a dark spot..a blurry spot or smudge in the middle of the screen when shooting outside. Sometimes when pressing the shutter for focusing it disappears, but sometimes not. Any Idea or others with the same problem??

I have a Canon powershot A570--great camera, but I have a problem with a dark smudge in the middle of the frame---It seems to be more distinct outside (when the lens in stopped down) which makes me think it's a internal spot of dust on the sensor---can this be fixed economically? I have examples if you need them--

When I'm using my SD110 to capture video images there is no sound that gets recorded. I've looked through the set up of the camera in case I muted my microphone but that's not it. I'm starting to think that my microphone is the problem. Does anyone know if there is a solution to this problem?

A couple of months ago my SD110 started to produce blurry pictures, and I mean really blurry in all kinds of shooting conditions. Mostly vertical stripes tending to white an red. The subject itself totally out of focus. Like someone smearing different colors of paint vertically across the screen.
Battery was (always) fully loaded, lens clean, and occasionally switching it off an off several times would produce normal pictures again.
Yesterday, trying to take pictures of my newly-born granddaughter, the camera went "dead", and no cussing and/or praying would revive it. Grrr!
Upon switching it on it reacts normally, all the options appear on screen, and all the settings can be set, but still no picture. This happens in all the modes (automatic, manual and video).
Releasing the shutter halfway makes it "measure the distance" (orange LED) and I see the red pre-flash on the subject. The (black) screen shows small running lines like an out-of-tune TV.
Any suggestions? Thanks and "saludos" from Costa Rica!
PD: This camera is barely 2 years old, looks on the outside like it has been through several wars - very poor finish! - even with moderate use and always being kept/carried in its leather case.
These are some of the problems I have encountered over the years. It mainly relates to Fuji digital compacts but could just as easily relate to any...
