M audio bx8 blows a fuse
best solution wrap the blown fuse with a piece of tin foil and put it back into the fuse terminal and you shouldn't have a problem.

Tweeter not working??
Since it sometimes gices a sound, and i know the problem when it's not put it totally and does it. I want to know what it does with rca cables, trs cables and xlr cables and what it does and what ut doesn't. The connection inside in the trs and on one pcb , connected to your main pcb with three cables and it could be that one is not connected right. First of all. it's in the Netherland minimal twp years quarantee, since you may expect the speakers go allong min 2 years. Check you consumerrights, before start screwing.
And just measure your cables with a simple ohm meter or buy for 25 euro a cable meter....very easy and the costs ain't a thing.
gr. richard.... With all the cheap speakers and cheap connectors it might just as well beinig the connector inside, i hate them and replace them.

How to remove tweeters maudio bx8 speakers
Remove the backplate and the wires are often hold togeter with a tiedrap, so you need a long , how do you call it in english:) , sciccoskind tool or you can try to unplug, the plugs between the powerunit/ amplifier and you speakers . I'm busy rebuildimg m3-8 from m-audio, cause of some where cheap amp/powerunit and did it by hand and i have large hand, but put some tape around the backplatesurrounding for scratches.
And if you have them loose you can remove them.... but why?
Do you think you just can replace them for other once, think again

Blown circuit board
You will need to remove the blown circuit board and replace it with a new one. Unless you know exactly what components are blown and have the utilities and material to replace the components yourself.

Need help...My M audio Bx8...One
To determine if it is the signal going to the speaker or a problem within the speaker unit, swap speakers. If the problem stays with the speaker unit, then you have a defective speaker. If the problem moves to the other speaker, then you have a signal problem. If it is a signal problem, it could be the wiring from the signal source or the signal source itself.
Let me know what you find or please clarify if I didn't understand your problem correctly.

Purchased used m audio w/o connect cables for cpu
The BX8's take either a TRS or XLR inputs only. from a laptop, you can get a 1/8" stereo to 1/4" l/r mono splitter cable at radio shack that will plug into the back. then just plug up and you will be good to go for about $10.
serously, though, you should save up and buy a studio level firewire or usb card like the presonus inspire and use that to connect. for 200 bucks more spent, you would have much better quality recordings and playbacks that are matched and line level.
BOO-YA!!!

Subwoffer how to connect it to my amp
You have the M-Audio BX8A speaker listed here. Is this what you have? If so, this is a powered speaker and therefor no need for an amplifier. If you want to use it as part of your 5.1 home theater system, it is not possible to power other speakers with this particular speaker, as it does not have the required output connections.
