Siemens D1675 Motherboard Questions & Answers
I put 1gb memory stick first slot no boot up
the bios may not support the bus speed of the ram or they maybe some dirt on the brass contacts, clean these with a standard eraser, make sure its pushed into the dimm slot properly ( you'll hear 1 or 2 clip sounds ) check your motherboard manual to see if it supports the bus speed, if it does put your old ram back in boot windows and flash the bios ( download bios update from motherboard manufacurer's support website ), if you have no ram you have get some and flash through windows, you can also flash the bios via floppy ( THE "FLOPPY" METHOD IS NOT RECOMENDED ) if it goes wrong you'll kill the motherboard
good luck
2x 1GB Memory doesn´t work
Don't try to put your 512MB-RAM, remove it and put only 1GB both with rearest slots to each other.
As per your board specification you can upgrade upto 3GB. but all three memo-stick must be of same size, same type and same frequency.
Thanks

D1675 Boot problems
Hi ghoompah, It's easy to tell if an AGP card supports 1.5volt. Look at the contacts (Copper) key of the video card. There should only be two key connectors. (This does not include the locking tail).
If there are three connectors than the card is most likely 3.3volt.

Many 8x speed cards are backward compatible with a 4x speed AGP. Other than looking at the video card it's self it's best to look at the AGP slot on the board. Count the sperations in the AGP slot. (Also known as keys).
Hope you find this helpfull!

Searching D1675 Mainboard
I have two of them. I would be willing to trade one for a working solution as to why I can't get my system to boot. It has something to do with the AGP card because it will only boot all the way to the desktop when you have exactly the right combination of memory, disc drive, and video card. I think it has something to do with the motherboard being a 1.5v video bus.? I have tried 5 different working video cards and the only one that will let the system boot properly is a dell horizontal desktop card that dosent fit because of the mounting system but if you remove the bracket it fits and boots properly. I'll give you both if you can find me a socket 478 mother board with an 8x AGP slot, 800mhz fsb with slots for at least 2g of 400mhz ddr and an intel southbridge. An ASrock p4i65g would do nicely.
