Suddenly displaying no signal

check the aerial is plugged in and that is in good order. If your tv is analog/digital, check that it has not gone to another source, there might be an option to put it onto digital output. It may not be too serious hopefully

Viewsonic 5230p video black banding with blue and then will clear up

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors - Flickering screen - Screen image disappears after several seconds - Dim screen - Slow start - Power LED on, but no picture - Unusual colors and/or lines The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad. If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced. New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years. Check the cables, connectors and connections. Take it to a repair shop.

How to Troubleshoot Audio or Video Issues with a TV

If you are having an issue with the video or audio of your TV, try another source device and another set of cables. If the issue occurs with multiple source devices and sets of cables, the issue is with the TV. If the issue only occurs with one source device or set of cables, the issue is with the source device or the set of cables you are using.

No picture just av1

If the cat sat on the remote, it is likely it changed the tv to AV1. Just find the AV button on the remote and press it again and again. It should cycle through the different AV channels your TV has - my TV has 6 AVs, 2 HDMI and a PC channel so if yours is anything like mine, you may need to press several time to get back to your Sky/freesat/virgin box. Alternatively, some HDMI connected kit just needs turning off and on. That then sends a signal to the TV which changes the TV automatically. For example, my Blu-ray player does that. Experience - I have a cat that sits on my remote and does the same thing!!

What board should I change

Three blinks of the power LED indicates an over-current or over-voltage condition in one of the DC supplies of the AP board. The AP board is repairable. Therefore the use of an ohmmeter and peak-hold-voltmeter is required to determine the cause of the shutdown. An over-voltage condition is definitely a defect of the AP board. An over-current condition may be due to a short circuit located in the AP board, A board, or the LCD panel.

Panasonic Viera tc-p65s2 - 7 blinks, won't turn on

I had the same problem with my Viera. if you disconnect the power and ribbon cable from the YSUS board (check youtube for how), the light led will blink 6 times, indicating the YSUS is bad. Check ebay for TNPA5175 board (about $115-160). The pop is one of the DG402RP chips burnout. These are about $4, but only available from China. If you can wait a month for delivery, you can solder the new one to replace the bad one. You may want to purchase several in case more are bad or it happens again.

That probably won't work. You'll have that problem until you get a new TV.
