How do I find my Wpa Key Number

To connect your computer to a wireless router, you click the Refresh network list, then Choose your wireless network and then click Connect to your secured Wireless Network, it will asks for a Network Key before allowing you to connect into your wireless network. This Network Key is either the WEP, or WPA or WPA2 Encryption key that is configured in the Wireless settings in the Router. The Passphrase is an alternate way to setup the Encryption key. When you are requested for a Network Key, you can just enter the Passphrase or WPA or WPA2 key that was used to configure the Encryption key in the wireless router. http://www.fixya.com/support/r5270415-network_password_network_address For information on securing your wireless network, configuring the wireless router and configuring the wireless card in the laptop/computer, please click on this link and follow my instructions :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security

Ihave lost my network key

The network key is the router's encryption key.
You can retrieve this key from the router's wireless settings.
Connect a LAN cable from the D-Link to your computer's LAN port, open a browser and enter the D-Link;s configuration URL.
http://192.168.0.1
The default login = admin

If you have changed the admin password then enter this password.
If you have forgotten this password then you can reset the D-Link back to the default settings by power up the D-Link press and hold down the RESET button at the back of the D-link until the LEDs flash at the same time then release the RESET button. You can now login to the D-Link using the default login and PW.

I forget the my password

How to Reset a Password on a D-Link Router

Use a pen or a paper clip to push the "Reset" button on the back of the router. Keep the button held down for approximately five seconds.

Open a web browser on a machine that is connected to the router. Type "192.168.0.1" into the navigation text box.

Type "admin" and leave the password blank. This is the default information for D-Link routers. When you hold the reset button down, it resets the admin password to blank.

Click the "Tools" tab at the top of the D-Link admin console. In this screen, you can reset the admin password to a new one.

Enter the new password in the router's console section labeled "Administrator Settings." Enter it a second time in the "Confirm Password" text box and click the "Apply" button. The router's password has now been reset.

Good luck.

Is there a known issue with the following router

As far as I know, there is no issue with this model. You can try do a hard reset or factory reset though. And then reconfigure the settings again for your connection. You can also refer to your local ISP if there is an issue with line as well since they should be able to run the line test and check if you are having issues with the line.

Bagaimana cara/urutan yang mudah intalasi

halo budhirs,

cara mudahnya, anda siapkan semua kebutuhannya :

done.

Jika ada kesulitan, bisa hubungi saya lagi.

Followed the disk guide, everything goes well then

Reset the router:

D-Link Router reset

Step 1 Locate the reset pinhole on the back of the unit.

Step 2 With the unit powered on, press and hold the Reset button.

Step 3 Hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds.

Step 4 Release the Reset button.

Step 5 The unit will reboot. Allow 20-30 seconds before reconnecting.

Step 6 The device is now at factory defaults.

Note: Do not recycle power during the reset procedure. The default user name for most D-Link devices is admin and the password is left blank. When it says hold for about 10 seconds, don't hold for more than ten seconds or the procedure will likely fail, if ten seconds doesn't work try 5 seconds.

Then:

. You do not have to use the cd. Go to the control panel and un-install the program that the cd installed. then:Shutdown your PC. Unplug the power from the router and the cable modem.Wait 30 sec. then plug in the power to the cable modem, wait 30 sec. then plug the power to the router. Wait till you have "Internet" light then restart your PC. The PC should pick up an IP address and you should be able to get on-line. This is if you have a cable service provider. If you have DSL, the router needs to be configured with PPOe.If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response. Happy Holidays!

I only get 1 bar

(First and foremost, Make sure the firmware is updated, this takes care of alot of router connectivity issues)
1. If you have more than one wireless network to choose from, make sure you're connecting to the one with the Strongest signal.
2. Make sure the security is set up for your router and network. If it's open, anyone can connect and **** up your bandwidth!
3. Depending on what kind of wireless card you are using, G or N. You can set your Router to only transmit G or N. Set it to what kind of wireless card you're using.
4. Using an ethernet cable (RJ45) connect to the router directly and see if you can get online.

If all else fails, you can reset the router and start over to see if that changes the signal strength

Lost internet connection, router has a red light

Just for you to be aware, a red light on the router means it failed.
Depending on where the red light is, that is where the connection failed, if the red light is on DSL, it means that there is a problem with the server (internet service provider) but if the red light is on INTERNET (authentication failure = router needs to be reconfigure) etc.... to better assist you contact your service provider.
