Hello
Switch on your amp, keep its volue down to extreme low, and listen if there is still hum through the left channel or not. If still there is hum, the left side power amplifier section inside the amp;ifier is faulty. If htere is no hum at this state, hum enters thorugh the audio input terminal, and the input wires must be checked for open sheild connection. OK.
Subwoofer repair
Check your connections. Make sure everything is plugged in properly. If it is still making a sound, even a whisper, then the amp is probably fine. Do you have other speakers connected to the amp? If so, they should be sounding too. If not, then it's definitely an amp problem. Ebay sells tons of .... well, everything, so you should check that out...
JM LAb Daline 3.1: Both
Hello unfortunately it sounds as if the coils in both woofers are open, you have pretty much confirmed this by your direct connection however putting an ohmmeter across the terminals will tell you as well.If you have a meter the woofer should measure approx 6 ohms,if it measures 0 its bad.Another simple way to tell is with a 9 volt battery, simply connect with two wires and see if the woofer pops if not its no good.

I have a Fisher 5
The E display indicates disc loading error.Due to inactivity the carousel loading trays rubber belt would have either become stiff or loose ( depending on which part of the world you live in ).So your loading action is not being completed due to your loose loading belt condition.
There are sensors ( small leaf switches ) which tell the micro controller if the tray has gone in completely and lifted the CD off the carousel tray, only after that the CD starts spinning for play operation. If this sequence does not complete the tray opens and closes by itself in some makes and model during power On
If you are up to it you can open the top cover and see the loading tray and beneath it is the loading belt.Your challenge is getting a replacement today of an old model.
No sound sanyo preamp a8
Is this a new rig or did it just stop working?
If you would elaborate a bit on what you're doing and how it's connected we might be able to solve your problem with high level information.
A list of equipment, including the amplifier you're using, would help.
In general...
If there is a Pre Amp Out stero pair that would go the Amplifier's Pre or Main IN pair.
If there's is a Tape Monitor control, turn it off.
Phono can go ONLY to phono.
Other stereo devices can go to just about anything avalable such as Tuner, Aux, CD, DVD.
