If everything is coming up German, you will have to do this by following the icons. Look for the symbol or figure out what the "Control Pnel" is and open it. Now look for the icon that shows the shape of the world with a clock next to it, this is the "Regional and Language settings". At the top of that window are 4 tabs, the first tab is "formats", in the first drop down menu, scroll down and find "English-United States", select it and hit apply, bottom right button. Now the next tab to the right is "Location", there is one drop down menu, scroll down and select "United States". The next tab to the right is "Keyboards and Languages", the first button at the top is "Change Keyboards", click on this and when the next window opens, click on the first drop down menu and select "English (United States)-US, below that are listed keyboards, you will see the keyboard "US", highlight and remove all others listed in this area. Now click the next tab in this same window, it is the "Language Bar", check the third circle down and uncheck all the boxes under that, click apply and ok to clear this window. Now click on the last tab in the original window, this is the "Administrative" tab. Depending on what operating system you have these buttons maybe in different areas, try to look at the words and see if they are close to ours, anyway in this last tab, look for the button marked "location" or "system locale", whan you click on this another window comes up click ok to apply these settings to all users, it will then show another drop down menu, choose "English (United States)", hit enter, the machine will need to reboot to apply the settings. Now remember depending on the operating system these settings can vary, this instruction is for windows 7, vista is close but with a few variances.

Make sure also to click on the time in the right lower task bar and make sure the time zone and time are correct, there are a lot of computers that were placed in service with German languages that also have Luxemburg as the time zone.

this will make tha language used to be Thai ..but do not change the desktop icon names and other things ...but if you get a thai language keyboard and use xp ..this is what you need to do for to use that keyboard..
if you want to use the language every where ..you need to install a windows with all Thai support including the items and all that appears into the pc...this can be also done with a program that changes the language on the windows...and with the changes that I showed you in the link will be all Thai ..
remember those will change just the characters you will use..to write ...probably if you do not have a thay keyboard ..you will have to learn the hard way where all the caracters are and functions..

Have you re-installed the proper drivers?

Make sure you have all from the Driver drop-down list.

Just as an aside, if you are using ADSL, why are you bridging through COM? Just curious.

From what to what? What operating system?

Assuming Windows XP (and in English) open the control panel, click on the Date, Time, Language, and Regional options settings (or if in Classic View, just click the Regional and Language options icon).

Open the languages tab, and click on Details.

Click on the Add button. Select the language you would like to add.

NOTE: *you may need your Windows CD to install additional languages*

The cmos battery in laptops is not easily replaced. The whole laptop must be taken apart to get at the cmos battery which is soldered to the motherboard. You should be able to find a new battery on ebay but then will require someone to take it all apart and resolder the new battery onto the motherboard

Hello,
Do you have a wifi card in the computer? It is a hardware part that you need so that the computer can connect to the wifi. If you have that but can't find it in the operating system. I suggest that you either install or update the driver for it.
You can use RadarSync to scan your computer for the available updates of your wifi driver. Make sure that you connect to the internet first using your ethernet so that it will detect the available driver updates somewhere in the databases of the manufacturer.
