I imagine that is just the plastic plug for the bus port. Are you looking for a laptop memory slot or SD camera memory slot. These machines do not have an SD camera memory slot. You will have to get a USB adapter for it. They sell them at Walmart for approx $15. The laptop memory slots are located under a panel on the bottom of the machine. If there is only one slot there, then the other slot is under the keyboard.

If you have a systemguard warranty on your laptop better contact Toshiba Techsupport (1800-457-7777) and they will gladly send your unit for depot repair which is free to replace the whoule keyboard. No charges including Shipment and handling.

If you are out of warranty, you can dismantle the laptop KB and spray a contact cleaner on that might fix the issue.

Toshiba did extend the warranty on the M30-M35 models for the same problem. It's a short connected to the palm rest somehow. It is fixable, however the chances of having a shop in your area which has experience in this situation is slim. Sorry I can't offer more specific help.
