Copier makes faded copies, even though it has toner

A Toshiba DP5570 copier is producing copies that are faded, as if the copier is low on toner, even though the copier has plenty of toner. What can I as the end user do to solve the problem?

I love this printer. It has six ink cartridges. After many printings on printable cds, one finally came out with the colors washed out. Do I have to replace all the ink cartridges at the same time, or can I replace only the ones that are low?
