Myp 8460p wont play dvd media

You can check your DVD drive to see if there is any issue with your DVD drive. You can do this by using some DVD drive testing tools, such as Nero InfoTool and VSO Inspector. Then, you can also try some other DVD player software tools such as Leawo Blu-ray Player.

I have a hp elitebook

why not use the drivers seen at HP. for this model this model is supported 100% why not> NO OS stated, so I cant tell you which one, is this windows 7 why post lacking that key fact? all those things run custom HP driver, its not just one driver, its a set, and they work as TEAM. ok My guess device manager shows many things wrong. for same reasons. 11 different OS sold with this PC, 11. seen here https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-elitebook-8460p-notebook-pc/5056942 there is this magic program that might help (i never trust magic) but you can get lucky, luck happens. if not we do it all by hand. http://h18021.www1.hp.com/helpandsupport/hp-self-support.html

5 beeps

Hi this sounds like a memory/ram issue you need to power of your machine, remove the power cable & then without the power cable connected, press & hold the power button for 15 seconds until it makes a chime noise, that is a basic power function reset, if that does not solve it, remove the memory cover panel on the under side of your laptop then carefully remove the memory chips blow or vacuum the area & use a dry piece of tissue to very gently clean your memory of any dust, replace the ram chips & re-connect power cord, this should solve it, but if not try starting up again without the power cord, if it's successful without the power cord you'll need a new 1, if not it suggests your ram chips have gone bad & you may need to purchase new ram chips, good luck :-) you can find more info about the 5 beeps here: Computer Does Not Start and Emits an LED or Beep Code if you need to purchase new memory/ram chips you can get cheap ram here: Cheap Laptop Memory RAM Upgrade Low Prices UK Deals Ebuyer com If you do need to buy new ram chips, I'd advise buying 2x 4GB modules :-)

HP keyboard is locked

  1. Power your laptop off completely.
  2. Take the battery out of the laptop. Typically the battery is located underneath the laptop towards the top.
  3. Leave the battery out for 30 seconds. This will allow the laptop to refresh itself.
  4. Put the battery back into the laptop.
  5. Power your computer on. Once your computer has rebooted, check to see if the keyboard is working.
  6. Open the "Start" menu on your laptop, if the keyboard is still locked up.
  7. Click on the Control Panel.
  8. Go into the "Accessibility" options.
  9. Open the tab labelled "Keyboard".
  10. Make sure none of the boxes have a check in them. If the laptop has Microsoft Vista as the operating system, go to the "Ease of Access" option and go to "Change how your keyboard works." Make sure none of the boxes in that section are checked.
  11. Click the "Save" button.
  12. Exit the Control Panel and begin typing to see if the keyboard is now working.

Escalate with UUID to get SMC Blob to unlock MPM

You need to contact HP Tech Support about this issue, they will send you a file called "SMC.bin" Which needs to be placed on a flash drive. When the flash drive is in the port, reboot following the instructions that Tech Support sends along with the file. After that, it will be unlocked and you can set the SN, PN, and so on.

Wifi miniport adapter missing

Are you trying to use something like VirtualRouter? I have had some trouble with these programs especially with Win7/8 compatibility. Generally I am able to solve them with some troubleshooting but there is not one Fix All. Let me know exactly what software you are using to create the hotspot, as well as what operating system you are using.
