uninstall the scanner from your computer, delete the software and unplug it, find the cd plug it in to the pc again and install it again from the cd.

If you need the drivers let me know. Also if it still does the same thing while scanning is the lamp lit?

i loss my scaner umax 5600\5650 driver so i search the driver

May be the file is corrupted. Try downloading another copy from menufecturer's website. Always download the recommended driver.

well apparently the umax support site does not have drivers for your model. very disapointing. but this link has a driver that is supposed to work on xp, so download and give it a try---

according to the website that software is not downloadable and you would need to buy the cd.... be that as it may they only have version 6 available for no higher then 10.3 mac o/s... where did you get the software if i may ask

its a rar file so you'll need winzip or winrar to unpack

download the drivers fro the printers manufacturer web site

that's how some of the driver sets are sent, as a zip file. make certain you save them to a good and easy to find folder

You'll most likely have to use VueScan

UMAX does not support Windows Vista for this scanner.

Seems they are not planning to either. They'd prefer you just get a new scanner.

you'll need new drivers..get them from the Astra support site..
