Can I add more RAM to my Averatec All-In=One A2?
Hey Nella CoffeyUnfortunately, more RAM cannot be installed due the limit of Slots available. However, you may be able to upgrade the current RAM modules and replace them. It appears it has 2048mb (2GB) of RAM which is possible split into two 1GB sticks. You "may" be able to upgrade to 4GB (split into two 2GB sticks). This is the current set up for the computer: 2048MB (4096MB max) SDRAM ' Memory Slots available for Upgrade: 0 ' Maximum RAM per available slot: 2048MB Good Luck

I went to get on
sounds like your hard drive became corrupt by virus or malware, or you were very low of disk space. your probably going to have to reformat your hard drive most will say go to system repair when you reinstall windows, but I always feel a full format is the safest way, because repairing your pc will not remove the virus vs. formatting

Averatec 6200 motherbord specifications ? Compatible procesor upgrade with SSE 2 thanks
The Averatec 6200 laptop was released in 2004 and is powered by an AMD Athlon XP-M 2400+ processor with a clock speed of 1.8 GHz . The motherboard of the Averatec 6200 is based on the SiS741 chipset. The laptop comes with 512 MB of RAM and a 60 GB hard drive . The laptop's display is a 15.4 inch, 1280 x 800 (WXGA) screen.
As for the processor upgrade, the Averatec 6200 is compatible with processors that support SSE2 2. SSE2 is an extension of the IA-32 architecture, based on the x86 instruction set. Therefore, only x86 processors can include SSE2. The AMD64 architecture supports the IA-32 as a compatibility mode and includes the SSE2 in its specification. This means virtually every modern Intel and AMD CPU supports SSE.

Averatec e1200 laptop i think it caught a virus
Hold the delete button when you turn it on and see if it loads BIOS up. If the screen displays the BIOS OK then you can change the boot sequence to CD/DVD or USB first and do a fresh windows installation. You could also try holding F8 at bootup and try loading safe mode. If this doesn't help it could be a problem with your screen or the wiring going to the screen. Possibly also a problem with the graphics card.
