if you are having problems

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your "((MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error even something as small as a faulty electrical extension or fan lead can cause this problem

follow the troubleshooting procedure a computer needs all of the data and electrical current to travel through every device and to have an end to be able work properly

a motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive if its a flat ribbon 40 pin type IDE replace it this will be the first to fail check all electrical extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd floppy drives need to have current go through make sure these drives are working also it could be a dirty computer clean all of the dust from your computer you could use a vacuum cleaner but whatever you use make absolutely sure there is no moisture gets to anything in your computer and before you touch anything be sure to wear an earth strap you could run the chkdsk utility click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to repair any bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive another way of running the chkdsk utility click start control panel administrive tools, computer management ,disk management right click on your drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start two boxes automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now, start should schedule this task when restart do not do anything while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may damage your computer then defragment your hard drive also you might download and use this registry cleaner it is totally free to use http://download.cnet.com/ccleaner/ hope this helps

Please share image and location of TVS diode in ST3120827AS seagate hard disk circuit board

For the Seagate hard disk model ST3120827AS, the TVS diode is typically located on the circuit board (PCB). TVS diodes are designed to protect electronic circuits from voltage spikes and transient events. They are usually small, with two leads, and look like small cylindrical or rectangular components. To locate the TVS diode on the circuit board, you may need to refer to the hard drive's datasheet or schematic diagram, if available. Additionally, you can try searching for online resources or forums where individuals share information about hard drive components and their locations.Regarding the Cisco Nexus Network Switch , it's important to note that specific details about the internal components, including the location of TVS diodes, may be proprietary and not readily available in publicly accessible documents. For detailed information about the switch's internal components, you may need to refer to Cisco's official documentation or contact Cisco's supporthttps://www.serverblink.com/n3k-c31108pc-v-cisco-nexus-network-switch/

The hard disk not detected

Try downloading TESTDISK and see if the drive is detected on the List within TESTDISK. If it is then you may be able to restore the boot sector within TESTDISK.

Seagate barracuda 7200.9 connect to USB

You will need an external Hard drive adapter case. This will probably come with driver disk. If already and external drive it may have internal firmware which talks directly to the PC. Just install drivers, if any, and plug unit in. Follow screen prompts.

Can a power interrupt during hard drive installation cause a "Boot manager missing" message?

You do not say what OS you were installing, and Windows limits what you can do with the hard drive during installation. As you have found out, any power interruption during an installation will likely corrupt the process and make the system unbootable. If you can restart the install at the very beginning that may work for you. However, I believe the simplest fix will be to use a live system bootable disk and erase the corrupted partition table on the drive then restart the install as if it were a brand new hard drive. For that type of recovery I use gparted, which can be downloaded for free from http://gparted.org/livecd.php Gparted live can be used on CD, hard disk, USB, or even pxe boot. I would delete all the existing partitions that were created during the failed install, then restart the install from the very beginning as if it were a new disk.

I had a desktop crash.the pc shop tod me it was the hardrive, and replaced it. I still have the old one. Question 1 why cannot the disk be replaced.2 how do I retrieve data off the old drive?

The hard disk must have crashed and only professional data recovery service providers can retrieve data from the hard disk. It will cost money and if the data is extremely important then only you should opt for data recovery.

How do you retrieve photos from a hard drive

You mean "lost" photos? or I don't understand your question. If lost, there are a number of "free" recovery software solutions as well as purchase type solutions. Otherwise, tomshardware.com has very good answers.

Can I fix my Seagate hard drive to bootable?

Hi, two things to try. 1. If you have the Win7 cd/dvd, go here and read: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/start-the-windows-7-recovery-environment/ But I'm thinking that you have a few bad sectors in the HD's boot area (educed from your tzak.tzak description - which is head seek (bang) trying to find the boot sectors). Which I'm not sure that Win7 recovery can cope with. But check out this link and read/follow links: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-system/how-to-fix-the-boot-sector-of-windows-7/deb6ad12-a6b1-46fc-9786-240f66f9143e And this link (better?): https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-system/restoring-windows-7s-master-boot-sector-to/435f7bf7-9d5b-4741-9746-945ff06e6251 or 2. Go here and get SystemRescueCd: http://www.sysresccd.org/SystemRescueCd_Homepage It contains many tools for the repair of malfed systems. You will want to use this tool: TestDisk TestDisk[4] Popular disk recovery software. Recovers lost partitions and repairs unbootable systems by repairing boot sectors. It can also be used to recover deleted files from FAT, NTFS and ext2 filesystems. File system recovery is supported for reiserfs, ntfs, fat32, ext2/3 and many others. In closing, I would get a new HD, maybe a SSD? to replace your original hard drive (It may be failing, or it took a hard knock while in the boot phase, causing head-bang in the boot sector - not good). Make the new drive your master and use the old one for misc. data that you have originals of, i.e. music cd's, dvd movies, programs off-loaded from Tivo/DVR, etc. Hope this at least gets you going in the right direction...

My 120 Gb seagate Sata harddisk got fired due to high voltage shock. What can i do. Is there any way i can reapair it. Is there any way i can replace the logic board of it with 80 Gb board and try.

I understand the value of the files that resides on the disk:) Yes! It is possible that harddisk may back to life by replacing the logic board but of the same model or part number. If it is not possible by replacing logic board due to other defects such as head crash and spindle drive motor opened/shorted, there still a big chance to recover depending how you value the data on it by contacting international Seagate Data Recovery support service with considerable service fee. Hope this helps.
