Panasonic cinema vision pt-53wx54j

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. 3 blinks means convergence output failure and to resolve this you’ll need to change the convergence chips which are located behind the black heat sink; you can see once you open the back off the TV. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Panasonic PT-53X54J Rear Projection TV. Suddenly

That is the classical sound of a Switchmode power supply, detecting an "Over current" situation and shutting down, for "Safety" reasons, like fire explosion etc. I get these in the shop frequently, (actually they seldom get to the shop, more, we go to them, as they are so BIG) This is a common occurrence. But can have many, many causes, the Power Supply shutting down, is a "Symptom", of the actual "Cause". Unfortunately, as related there are many areas that can cause this to happen. It literally can be in any section, or part of the circuit. really, the only way to effect a fix, is to first get a Service Manual. It is well worth the price it costs to get one. Simply Google the name off your TV, and add the words "service manual" after, Panasonic PT-53X54 service manual The manual gives service algorithms, to work through, to isolate the problem. It is still quite a challenge in any event. Rear projection TV's do have what seems to be a higher failure rate than the "Normal" TV's. Also they seem to be more expensive to repair. If you decide to get a repair ensure you get a firm "Quote" before proceeding. No "Quote" no job. If you choose to do it yourself.. good luck

Really thin line for a pitcure

The shutdown you're experiencing is most likely the x-ray protection circuit sensing an abnormal voltage problem in one or more areas. And it could be multiple problems causing what you've described. First I'd start by checking for cold solder joints, specifically on D21, D22, and D23 in the convergence circuit. You will also need to do a trace test on the resistors feeding the convergence amps and the amps themselves may need to be replaced. If this sounds like something that's a bit beyond you're capabilities take it in to a reputable shop. What you're describing is a handful even for the most qualified. At the very least you'll need a good DMM, ESR meter and scope.

Panasonic hds700tds playing audio no videos

  1. Check the Input Source: Make sure you have selected the correct input source on your TV for the device you are using. Use the remote control to cycle through the input options until you find the one connected to your video source.
  2. Check Video Connections: Ensure that all video cables (such as HDMI, component, or composite cables) are securely connected between your TV and the device you are trying to watch content from. A loose or faulty cable connection could result in a loss of video signal.
  3. Restart the TV and Video Source: Try restarting both your TV and the device you are trying to watch content from. Power off both devices, wait a few moments, and then power them back on. This can sometimes resolve temporary glitches or issues with the video signal.
  4. Check for Software Updates: Make sure your TV's firmware is up-to-date. Sometimes software updates can resolve compatibility issues or bugs that may be affecting video playback. Check the settings menu on your TV for an option to update the firmware, or visit the manufacturer's website for instructions on how to do so.
  5. Reset Video Settings: If you've made any changes to your TV's video settings, such as resolution or picture mode, try resetting them to their default values. This can sometimes resolve issues with video playback.
  6. Try a Different Device: If possible, try connecting a different device (such as a DVD player or gaming console) to your TV to see if the issue persists. This can help determine whether the problem lies with the TV itself or with the original device you were using.
  7. Contact Panasonic Support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's possible there may be a hardware problem with your TV. In this case, you may need to contact Panasonic customer support for further assistance or to schedule a repair.
  8. Hope this helps
