Campagnolo Record QS Questions & Answers
Replacing a carbon rod on 11sp super record
No, this is one of the easiest jobs I have ever done!
- Simply remove the cable from the carbon rod, and
- Insert a Torx T-20 in the lower end of the brass pivot, and
- They unscrew easily and you can then remove the carbon rod entirely.
There are no springs to fly out - they're attached to the lower alloy part - and no spring tension to cause problems. Then:
- Remove the cable stop attachment and move to the new part, and
- Rmove the the two limit screws (if they didn't come with the part), and then reinstall on the new part, and
- Finally reinstall the new part on the derailleur base.
- Then re-connect the gear cable to the new part, and
- Reset the limit screws following Campagnolo's instructions very closely, see http://www.campagnolo.com/AU/en/Support/download_2?td=4 for the manual you need.
This was a very easy job indeed - and like you, I was very apprehensive knowing how tricky some Campagnolo repairs can be. Clearly this was envisaged at the design stage and well-implemented. Now if only the part was more readily available...
I have a set of
There are a number of possibilities for this. First check to make sure of your cable tension, put the derailleur in the smallest cog and see what the tension is like, is there a lot of slack? then you need to re-tension. I would be reluctant to have you try too much else with these components, better to take the bike into your local shop and have the mechanic look at it. these parts are fairly expensive and none too fun if you break something. Campy can be tricky especially the 11 series and should be done right.
My campagnolo chorus 10 speed right shifter is
Sounds like at minimum you need to replace the cable housing. Cable Housings can get dirty and cause shifting issues. If you disconnect the cable from the shifter and derailleur you can pull the cable back and forth. It should be smooth and very little effort if it is no then you need to replace the cable housing.

you need to ajust the chain lenght. talk to your local bike shop for the correct length.removing 4-5 links should do it.
How much torque to you
Apply pressure until it makes a clicking noise. Once it makes the noise it isn't tightening any more.

Both of these issues sound like your front derailleur needs adjustment. I would highly recommend you take into your local bike shop and have them fix it for you. This could be as easy as cable tension or limit screws not being set properly, or could be something is broken and needs replacing.
