If this is on a home made dvd then that is probably where you the problem is.

If you try a proper store bought dvd and that works then you know its the other dvd.
But if a proper store bought dvd give the same errors then it could b a setting or part of the sound replay circuits that have or ore dying

Get a hold of your manufacturer and verify the warranty on your cd/dvd player. I do know that if the cd's are not finalized then cd/dvd players will not be able to read them. If under warranty your manufacturer can replace it or troubleshoot the problem with you over the phone.

2.On The Remote And Hit Display, Top Menu, Clear, Power A Menu Will appear on The Screen.
3.Select option 2 (Drive Manual Operation),
than option 4 (Tray Aging Mode). The screen will show two input lines, each with 5 digits
4. Change The Top Line To 12450
5. Then 00000 On The Second Line And Press Enter
6. The Disk Door Will Open And Close A Couple Times

A Long Process But It Works.
Hope This Helps.

no kidding, use mpeg converter, you will find it can convert any video format to mpeg, rock and roll

How to change the recording video type to MPEG?

Mpeg format is very popular for its wide-ranged compatibility with video editor and media player, and its cross-platform neutral capability, meaning the mpeg format can be easily handled not only by Windows OS, but also on Mac. Mpeg is a compression codec used to reduce the space video files take up without severely compromising image quality. And MPEG-4 is the global multimedia standard, delivering professional-quality audio and video streams over a wide range of bandwidths, from cell phone to broadband and beyond. This could explain why so many people choose mpeg format for video editing purpose. It is also no surprise that people would ask about how to change the recording video type to MPEG format or how to convert mpeg to other formats.

Mpeg converter is born to solve the mpeg related conversion problem. Mpeg converter can convert almost all kind of video formats to MPEG file, such AVI, WMV, ASF, 3GP, MOV, VOB, MPG/MPEG2 and FLV (Flash Video), which could be converted/exported as avi, mpg, mp4 video formats for your later options, while keeping the original video quality. Mpeg converter can also extract audio track from those supported video to m4a, mp3, wav audio formats. besides, it is a powelful video editing tool too. Mpeg converter lets you trim any splendid clips or episodes of your favorite videos, crop the unwanted black edges of video, apply video effects, and capture pictures from your video.

i am sure this will be a total fresh experience for you, things will be easier if you follow the tutorial below:

step 1. Click here to download, install and then run Mpeg converter

step 2. Select a format to load video info

To load video info, click Load File button. you can choose one video or more each time at will with the batch conversion capability. define the output path by clicking the output button, you can then name the output file as you like.

step 3. Tune settings for the output video/audio

b. click Trim button to decide which part of the video you would like to convert using slide bar to specify exact the start time and ending time.
c. For more settings click Setting button to tune the video/audio parameters like frame rate, bit rate, resolution, etc.

step 4 Start conversion

I think you are asking fuse in Sony DVP-NS575P DVD Player.
Its just next to AC wire connector and not ordinary glass tube type.
Locate it in below image of PCB of power supply board..

Check the outlet first to make sure there is power. If the outlet is OK then unplug the DVD, flip it over and undo the screws holding the top on, then flip it back over, lift the back of the cover and slide off the lid. Follow the power cord to the transformer, and look for a small glass fuse. Pull out the fuse and make sure it isn't burned out. If it is burned, pick up a replacement at Radio Shack. If it isn't burned out, start looking for a repair shop, although considering how cheap they are these days, you may be better off just buying new. Don't poke around because you could get a nasty shock or do other damage to the delicate components.

For Manual, appending the link of official Sony Website-
Follow instruction & download it.. its very simple.
For Connectivity with any standard CTV, get for AV (Composite) Cable with RED, WHITE & YELLOW ports at both ends. Connect one side ends of cable to DVD Player back side where LINE/ VIDEO OUT is written for video & RED & WHITE to R & L ports respectively. Similarly in TV other ends are required to connect with AV IN.
NOTE- Make sure corresponding ports are required to connect with same colored jacks.

I m sure this will definitely help out.. if no, plz let me know.
