SIX Blinks---No Horizontal (H STOP), no raster, goes to the blinking selfdiagnosis
function immediately. Check C515 & 516 and the jungle IC, IC206.

How many times do this standby light blinks? Count it. These are blinking codes, and are fault indications. From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV. To get more information about blinking codes, check this site. It has details to many brand TVs' blinking codes, including Sony. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Pull up previous posts by its left sidebar, or type in the brand name and model number to of your set, to its search box, and press 'Enter' or view it in Mosaic / Timeslide option.

11 blinks won't occur to this TV. It might be 10 blinks. If so Check Q8014 and Q8013 for shorts, leakage, or bad solder connections on the " D" board. If the transistors are bad, check R8051 and IC8005, also on the "D" board.
If you want more details about the blinking codes to Sony TVs, check this site.

This is not a problem that a reset will fix. THe 5 blinks is a code that indicates a problem with the AKB circuit. There is a possibility that the picture tube is starting to fail, but that is rare. If you are comfortable working inside the set where there are potentially dangerous high voltages even when unplugged, let me know and I will provide additional details and instructions for a couple of repair options.

Check for any loose solder connections in the main power regulator section of this TV. It will be very difficult to detect loose solder terminals, as they will be microscopically small to ***** eye. It is best to re-solder all the suspected solder terminals by applying a little more fresh solder to each solder terminals.

This set is very heavy and if fails to come on the power light should blink a specific number of blinks repeated over and over.

There are almost no customer repairs possible here as every part is special and Sony only---even as much as these sets cost new most when fail are being retired/recycled and replaced.

Typical repair cost in most cases will exceed 200 dollars or more.
