Sony RCD-W10 2-Disc CD Recorder Questions & Answers
Hi. Can not find a brand of blank disc that
I have read an awful lot about this unit including reading the manual thoroughly. I now believe that this Sony unit is a very clever unit, it is very particular about what items it will copy and very particular about what it will copy items on to. I, for years, have had the 'Data Disc' issue however I have invested in Maxwell XL-II 80 Music CD which appear to work perfectly with this unit.
Error message "DATA DISC"
No No No and No again this disc issue makes me laugh. Look lasers are sensitive but after a while the power output level decreases to the point where the disc may still be able to be read but recording/finalizing is impossible.
Hmmm, I think I may have to point people to a link on this site as I've answered this question many times. However, here we go. As I previously stated the power is down on your laser specifically the recording laser. A potentiometer adjustment is required but this necessitates the drive mechanism with laser to be removed from the player. If you feel happy to do this, with the drive removed look on the underside of the laser unit and you will see two potentiometers (2 crosscut screw like objects). I don't know the layout of your unit but it's normally the pot on the right that needs to be adjusted clockwise by an eigth of a turn which increases the power output thus solving the issue completely. There's always a little bit of play in these things so it is safe to do this. Good luck
When i put in a blank disc and press record
The problem can be either the player or the disk. Not all disks, unfortunately, are compatible with all players (see Instruction manual that came with the player). If the same type disks have worked before, you can try to clean the laser lens with a qtip and alcohol. You can sometimes do this from the front, and sometimes you have to remove the cover. There are CD cleaners you can buy and insert, also. If you have no success with this, you will have to service the machine, or have it serviced. The things you can do yourself are shown and explained if you google the problem, and read the articles and watch the videos. It can be complicated unless you're technically savvy. The problem could be electrical, but is most likely mechanical. You can try to blow out any dust or debris that may be interfering with the operation, otherwise you will have to service it. Hope it's just some dust on your laser lens, and good luck.

Make sure you are using consumer audio CDR's.Everything else should be straightforward but you should be able to google for the manual.

Don't know if this will work, but I have an older JVC CD recorder, and it will ONLY record on CD's marked "MUSIC". Worth a try!
`Sony CD player won't play burned discs
Many of the older Car CD Players will not play CD-R's or they may with static sounds behind the music. What you need to do is try using a different brand of cd-r disc. If this doesn't work then it means that you may need to replace the CD player because the model that you have may not be decoded in order to play CD-R, CD-RW, play MP3's or anything of that such.

Connecting SONY TA-D505 amplifier LBT-D505
Hi David, do you want to connect the ST-D505 tuner to the TA-D505 amplifier?
You just have to connect an audio cable of two RCA (red and white) from the audio output L and R of the tuner ST-D505 to the input of Tuner in the amplifier TA-D505
Remember to connect the FM antennas and the AM Antenna Loop on the ST-D505 tuner
To listen to it, you have to select Tuner on the TA-D505 and enjoy the favorite radio stations

Hola David, quieres conectar el sintonizador ST-D505 al amplificador TA-D505?
Simplemente tienes que conectar un cable de audio de dos RCA(rojo y blanco) desde la salida de audio L y R del sintonizador ST-D505 a la entrada de Tuner en el amplificador TA-D505
Recuerda conectar las antenas de FM y la Loop Antena de AM en el sintonizador ST-D505
Para poder escucharlo, tienes que seleccionar Tuner en el TA-D505 y disfrutaras de las estaciones de radio preferidas
