Sony CMT-HPX9 CD Shelf System - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

Some tuners denote volume as attenuation so zero means it is at full volume and -20 means it is 20 decibels or 20 percent etc below zero. Essentially, zero means it is not being held back while the higher the number, the higher amount of holding back. I am not sure what you mean by the volume does not increase or decrease normally so you'll have to ask that one with more details and information to get something more on that issue.

There's a control under PLAY MODE that selects random play labeled "1 DISC SHUF". Normal play would be "ALBM". Read the manual.

it a bit complicate to open
you can try but you need to remember what you open so you can put back in the same order
try this
first open the back cover you should be able the see the inside then you need to open the top cover now the changer can be open without power you need to locate the motor and turn the the belt or the wheel slowly and it wil take the disc out. """"""dont turb back""
you need to plug the power and let it go back alone after that disconnect the power and put back everything

its not so easy so before you do it make sure that you can open and put back

Plug the cord into the headphones/mp3 port on the front and press function until the MD option pops up. It should work then.

You can use a CD Cleaner as a first step, if it didn?t work the problem need an expert technician to clean the lens or replace it. Good Luck Toufic Malek

hi you push the button and it dosent work? maybe the button went bad push harder pull the button out ( if possible) and push with something small and hard you hear anything after you push? if soo then the drawer is stuck or the engine is about to die (not enough power to open the drwer) take a flat screwdriver and shove it (gently) between the carack of the drwer and try helping the drawer out maybe a plastic wheel will brake from this soo be careful in the end these system are ment to start dying after 5 years soo if this is the case sorry wont do any good have a good one

There is not reason this would click and not turn on. If it just clicked, it would likely be caused by interference from another appliance, typically a fridge or freezer. The most likely reason is a relay in the internal power supply.
