Philips 19PR19 19" TV Questions & Answers
TV DEAD
On some models the reset is unplugging for a minute or two and plugging back up. Otherwise you have a blown fuse where the power goes in. If you decide to replace the fuse do no go over 5 amps. If the replacement fuse blows there is a short in the set and needs a repairman.

The vertical scan output section to your TV is faulty. Contact any experienced service technician. The work is a skilled one.
HOW TO REPLACE VERTICAL CHIP/TRANSISTER ON 19
Open your TV/s back cover. Pull out the printed circuit board. Place it at a convenient position. Locate the vertical output section. Locate the vertical output IC. Desolder it out from the board. Replace a good one in place. Solder all its solder terminals. That is all.
I can't get the TV to input to watch my cable.
Most tvs won't let you switch to imput without the remote, you could try looking under the menu on the tv but if it not there then I would suggest you buy a universal remote. Or a lot of cable remotes allow you to program them to the tv.
After Power outage - picture is larger than screen
This TV also should have similar facility like 19" Tv. Try the menu, it may be in different name or classification. I do not suspect circuit fault. If you can access service menu code you can try. Better take assistance from service center. If you access service menu, do not for get to note down the values in each and every step.

It's seldom the parts that cost much, it's the labor to figure out which parts are causing the trouble that make TV repairs expensive. Many things can cause a TV to behave the way you describe, so I can't point out one or two specific parts. Even if I knew exactly what was causing the problem, you might have trouble getting the parts or lack the tools and soldering skills to replace them. It's possible to do more damage trying to repair a set without some experience. So while it's certainly fixable, it's probably not economical for this small of a TV. You could easily replace it for the same cost you'd likely face if you have a technician service it. Use this as an excuse to find yourself a new TV.

I am trying to hook up my Philips 19PR19 (made in
Because your TV is an older one, it might not have, what they call RCA inputs (the 3 colored cable) Red-audio right, White-audio left, Yellow-video. If I understand you.
You do have the option of using the 75-ohm coaxial cable inputs. Signal comes in from outside to the 722k, Output of the 722k to the 75ohm coax input on the back of the TV. Tune your TV to ch. 3 or 4. Make sure the switch on the back of the 722k is set to the same.
If you really want to use the RCA colored cables, then you need to buy an RF modulator, which integrates older tv's to newer products. But usually dvd players, not necessarily cable boxes, but it would work if hooked up correctly.
You plug the RCA red, white and yellow from the 722k, into the rf modulator, choose channel 3 or 4 on the modulator
Connect 75ohm coax cable from rf modulator to TV 75ohm coax cable input. Choose channel 3 or 4 on the TV.
Hope this helps.

Trying to hook up my wii to an very old model phillips magnavox
I think you have two options here:
1-Maybe your TV aux input is the type where the AUX channel is before channel 2, or after whatever your highest channel number is. If so, you can access that AUX channel by either going channel UP or channel DOWN.
2-If that doesn't work, maybe it's worth the $5 for a cheap universal remote, that you can program, and thereby access the TV INPUT mode.
Hope this helps.
