How would i go about

The worm gear in the base may have come loose. You can either return it to Meade for repairs or open up the bottom and try to see what is either loose or broken.

I just bought a used
Are you using the internal batteries? Are they fresh and fully charged?
Replace them and try again; or better get a seperate 12 volt power pack and the correct Meade 12 volt cigarette lighter style power cable.
Motor replacement procedure
This is really TOUGH to dis-assemble. The wiring goes through the central bolt and can be broken easily.

In response to your email the whole unit is being returned to supplier motor problem is manufacturers electrical fault the meade etx-125pe should have motor limiters fitted which stops the scope slewing more than two revolutions in any direction to stop potential wiring damage this unit does not have them or they are faulty hence motor fault.

What are you using as a reference for "LST time"? I assume you're aware
that stands for "Local Sidereal Time", and not Local Standard Time; some
folks have confused the two. Do you have another method to calculate
Sidereal time for your location?
When you set Date and Time in the Setup menu, you need to use the time
from the "clock on the wall" without any mental adjustments for Daylight
Saving or Time Zone; those settings are made elsewhere. From your
description of the problem, it sounds like you have a time offset,
especially if your Site location values are fairly accurate.
Whether you use Zip Code or City sometimes depends on where you live
with respect to a particular city. If you live several miles from the
nearest city, Zip Code may be best .
