Please follow the troubleshooting steps:

1. Remove the batteries from the remote control.
2. Press each button on the remote control twice.
3. Make sure none of the buttons on the remote control are jammed.
4. Install fresh batteries into the remote control.

9. Power reset the TV by follow the steps:

• Unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet.
• Let the television remain without power for 60 seconds.
• Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.

I had the Same issue. on a 50PF9431D/37 set. Many Plasma Set's use a LJ44-00118A PS-505-PH Power supply from Samsun. Know to have this common problem. If you can, or have a friend that can Solder components?. Unplug your set remove the back panel & locate your power supply. Make a note of the location of all cable connections then unplug them all. Un-install PCB, Check a Fuse first. I believe their is 5 or 6 of them on the PCB. Then replace the two 3300uf 10v 105C Radial capacitors at C8060 & C8059. The location of the caps are in the Lower bottom edge of the PCB. A local shop may Carrie them if not, digi-key has them. This can be a combination of things. The main power supply may have failed, or there is a short putting it in to protect mode. It is also possible that the back plane supply and or lamps have failed.

did you have a service contract with them?
if so the have to replace it.
call the manufacturer.

your set may have blown its y sus board and i know the x sus board is part of the plasma display panel either way your looking at a very expensive repair if your not warrantied

When it looks like its going to start up and it dosent then its an indication that one of the sweeps didnt start up. When you hit the power switch, the power supply sends an ok signal to start up the horizontal and vertical oscillators. When these start up they go to there respective drive circuits and then the vertical will send a signal to the power supply to keep on going so then the horizontal circuit starts up and sends an ok signal to keep going so then the set comes ob,\. If one of the two doesent start up and stay running then the power supply shuts down. To troublwe shoot these sets you need a service manualo and a good multmeter and a scope wouldnt hurt slso. This set has no user servicable parts inside of her so you need to take the set to a pro to assist you in the repair. Good Luck

Remove the cover on the back of the tv. Look for swollen or leaking capacitors. They kinda look like batteries. If they are bulging or leaking then that is your problem. You will have to de-solder the old ones off. Then solder the new capacitors onto the circuit board. Capacitors will cost about 20 dollars and installing them isn't that hard to do. It will fix your tv 99% of the time. So it is worth a try!
