Cannot find memory card fo
You can purchase Smartmedia 3.3 memory cards at Nextag.com, Amazon.com and eBay.com amongst others.
Make sure you buy Olympus or make sure you format any other purchased card in the camera.
BTW, you can purchase 128MB cards as well, not only 16 and 32MB.

I put in a new memory card but it says card full
Check the SD card is compatible with the camera - SDHC cards don't always work in older devices. If this isn't the problem, go into the settings menu of your camera and look for a "Format" option. It may also say "Format memory card". This will wipe the memory card clean, and should solve the problem. If not the card my be defective.
Haven't used my camera in
It is very possible that since you stored it for along time, the old batteries leaked and the contacts are now corroded. Use a Q-tip or a pencil eraser to clean the contacts. If the corrosion was there for a while, cleaning may not help and the contacts will need to be replaced.
My Olympus Digital Camera D-460
Did you notice if the batteries you took out had any corrosion on them, if they did, the camera contacts probably have corrosion on them as well. try cleaning them with a Q-tip or the eraser tip of a pencil.
If the contacts are clean, you probably have a main board problem and you need to decide if you want to spend the money to repair it.
Camera will not power up after battery replacement
If the old batteries leaked it is possible that they may have damaged the camera, depending on how long they were leaking before you discovered them like that, I would suggest that if the camera is still under warranty to contact Olympus if not take it to a camera store and have them check it out for you.
I just am not able to take any pic's with my new
Was this card used in another camera before? It must be formatted in the camera it will be used in. Since this will completely erase it, be sure to download any pictures to your computer first using a separate card reader if necessary.
Need serial adaptor/cable
Welcome to FixYa! There are DB9 to usb adaptors at any electronics store like Radio Shack or Fry's. Also there are serial connectors that connect internally to motherboards having a COM port connection if this is a desktop/tower computer. Though he likes the camera he might like the fact that newer cameras have a much higher resolution than previously available for much less than he may have paid for the present one.
If you have any further questions feel free to post them here and include the brand/model of the new computer. Steve Medley
Can I get a instruction manual in english ?
English? This is America... you'll probably have to learn Spanish.
Kidding aside, look online
http://www.nodevice.com/user_manual/olympus/digital--d-series/d-460_zoom.html
This will take you to the appropriate place and from there, Adobe reader will be your guide.
"Card Full"
Try putting the card back in the laptop and formatting it FAT32 and not NTFS. Some cameras are not able to read the NTFS file system.
More Space?
The memory card that your digicam needs is the Smartmedia, base on the specs i read on the net though, here is the sample pic,

about where to buy it, I not really sure but you can try BestBuy, or nearest electronic shop. Im from Philippines. Hehehe... Try the card first before you buy it. :)
