Even 2 x AA Batteries would run!!!!!
If nothing works you could try to charge the battery on an external (Universal) camcorder charger.
If you have a multi meter, you could check the battery voltage. I can't find the voltage in the manual, but Li-ion, will be around 3.7 Volt. If that is what is printed on the battery, the multi mete should read something like 3.8 or 3.9. Just above what is on the battery.
lost the software to download my vivitar camera so i can take the pics off the camera and put onto computer. Where can I find the software to reload it? Where can I find the software to redownload for pics to go on comp from camera
You don't need any special software. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said earlier, you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).
But Ni-MH batteries don't live forever. Typical they should survive 1000 charge discharge cycles, but when "misused" they can be bad before you reached that.
Please also check the contacts. Both, on the batteries and in the camera, where the batteries go, if these contacts are all clean and shiny. And at last, make sure you did put in the batteries the correct way. Turned around the camera won't work at all.
If you got the camera brand new, you should know there are no batteries delivered with the camera.
I have a vivitar vivicam 46 and I can't open it to put the batteries. How do I do it? Cant open it to put the batteries in
instruction manual for vivicam t325 to download I want to download the instruction manual for Vivitar Vivicam T325 camera recently purchased. Can't find it on Vivitar website.
My daughter gave me a ViviCam F314 for my birthday last year I haver contacted your helpline but unfrtunately the advioce given did not help. The problem is that I am unable to access the mode option The camera switches on but as soon as you attempt to go into the mode option the camera goes off. Your phoneline help advice was to take out the batteries and memory card then to reinsert the batteries and see if the message about about low batteries still came up, it didn't. I was then told to reinsert the memory card and when the camera displayed 'batteries low' and went off when I tried to enter the mode option I was told I needed a new memory card. I went to Maplins to buy a card and the technician looked at the camera, tested the functions and memory card and batteries and said that there was a camera fault and nothing to do with the card or batteries as they were brand new. I trust that this information is what you need.

I have a brand new ViviCam X014N that does not work. I have a new 2GB memory card, and new batteries. When I turn the camera on....nothing happens. The LCD screen is solid white. Nothing happens.
I can't get my CD reader to realize the instalation CD I got with my Vivitar DVR 410 V3. All the other CDs' I have load fine. Programs, games, whatever. It just doesn't want to recognize this CD. I can't even get it to load when I go to the control panel and tell it what to do. Is this a common problem with PCs' running Windows XP with a Sempron instead of an Intel processor? Do I just have a screwy CD?
