Use your remote to get into the menu. You must key into the remote the fact that you do not want the channel reminder on. It is that simple. Be patient you will find this.

We'll with out more info i cant help you but just to say go get a universal remote.

Find a Universal Remote at BestBuy. You should be able to program this remote, with the manual included, to your TV.

Does the TV has the "INPUT", or "SOURCE" button?
Try CH UP/DOWN button also.

It's been a few months, so I hope that you have gotten this resolved. But if not, or you still have some questions, here are some steps to go through. Hi there

Check the set to see if it has a source or A/V button. If not, the only thing that you can try is to scroll with the channel buttons up down buttons to see if you can get to the TV channels.
It is likely that you have already tred that:) If that has failed you, then you WILL need to remote to do this. I am sorry to say that this is the only way to get there. You can purchase a remote online from here

Not the only solution you have, in light of the impending change from analogue to digital... you could put your money towards a digital set top box and solve the remote issue at the same time. Check out what you can get from here. They start at less than $50, and could plug into the set you have eliminating the need to change it out of AV mode. You also get extra channels :)

Well if you could gain access to the inside if the set you could locate the Video's Composite Input, and there you could simply "Tap In" there, and run a Coax. OUT for the Video?DVD IN, and similarly, find the Audio's Input, and do the same for that. Then you could, simply NOT provide a signal, IE: Turn on & use, the VCR/DVD. And NOT supply a signal from the VCR/DVD. Instead supply the signal via YOUR leads, and it will NOT know the difference, and display what is being fed into it.

A POSSIBLE solution. I have the same stet...got it used, but it's in good condition.
It was stuck on a channel. I went iinto the menu and fiddled with the channel programs and "deleted" the channel and now I can freely change channels.

By the way, I could use a manual for this ...got one?

I found the codes by going on line to various sites. I have two TV's a stereo, a DVD/VCR player that I wanted to program a universal remote for.
As far as how many devicces one universal will handle...I don't have the answer yet.

Most likely it pulled hard enough to cause some bad solder connections on the botton of the 4 pin...try to unsolder and resolder the connector and reconnect the speakers this should fix you up.

Question edited for clarity. I doubt it is 55' feet, so I made it 55" inch. :>D No model given, 'Sanyo 55" is just one model in a range ver 20 years.
