have you been check the speaker if worn out. if ok you can hooked up a powered pc speaker at the audio output jack of the tv . now if you can get sound there the cause it could be bad amplifier circuit. but if you can not get sound there the cause would be bad sound processor in the main board.

tried to hooked up using only an air antenna if you can get good picture and sound. if you can get good reception then the problem not the tv.

I have the same problem. Do not have any idea on how to fix it without probable major expense. I have to connect cable box to RCA inputs which require the dvd player to connect with the front inputs...very inconvenient! Hope someone has an answer to this problem.

What I can think of is either the main filter capacitor is dried up, I had a set that would stay powered on til it warmed up then shut off and the main filter cap was the problem. Or the tv could have a thermally induced shut down, or the circuit protection kicks in due to excessive voltage. A component is defective and excess voltage is happening and the tv shuts down to prevent excessive X-ray emissions or damage to other components. You should open up the tv, be very careful and if you don't feel comfortable, have someone with more experiance or a shop look at it. Look for any blown or burnt components. Also listen for any weird or funny noises inside the set.

check to see if theres a problem, try opening it up to see if the volume button is jammed or not in place.

Sounds like the Startup Relay is dropping out, you will need to replace it.

Yuor TV has an issue particularly in the power supply section with regards to the loose components. This issue can be best addressed by having your units' circuitry be resoldered before it could damage some parts.

hi hope u didnt touch enything in there 30,000V is what you get.... after 3 days it will dissolves anyway you can replace it but you'll need your solder experience in hand you need to buy a new unit a good soldering iron and make them small round and neat good luck
