My tv is Sharp 21C-FA70.. what is the value of diode on D752
Diodes dont get cut in half. There is no schematic available for that unit. Your best bet is to get the board that it is on and replace the whole board if you can. Diodes dont oscillate, they rectify. The only way around this issue is to get a meter and measure the voltage and then measure the impedance and calculate the current and look for a diode with those specs.
I have bought a new sharp tv and when I plugged my Bush recordable freeview box in I have picture but no sound
What connectors are you using to connect it to the TV? Start with the basics. Try this.
Remove each cable, one at a time, at the TV end and take a good look at it. Check for any dirt or damage. Any damage to the cable or connectors replace it. Most TV/Audio cables are usually quite cheap to buy new, even the higher quality ones. Refit the cable the correct way around and push gently but firmly so it goes all the way into position. DON'T force it in! Most connectors are specially shaped so they will only fit one way around. Repeat this process at the Freeview Box end of the cable. Sometimes loss of picture or sound is just a loose cable connector that isn't pushed all the way into place.
