The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

How many times per second does the POWER led blink? (dont worry about the OPC).

1x per second (constant, steady blink) = bad inverter/lamps
2x per second = bad power supply
3x per second = bad main board

You can buy the parts online and fix if yourself!!

Not all TV programs are broadcast in 1080. When you use zoom or stretch on a program in 720 or 480 and a 1080 program is viewed you have to go back and take off zoom and stretch to get a correct picture.

I have the same issue and cannot locate a replacement

Can you get the whole menu screen to appear?
Can you navigate to the channel program mode?

If not, check the remote for weak batteries.

If all above is OK, but your problem persists, unplug the TV, wait a minute, replug and see again.

You need to look in the manual or on the website of the TV manufacturer to see if the device even has a reset button. Without knowing Make and Model no one can tell you anything about your TV.

You will need access to the main user setup menu. With most model TV sets the original remote is required. Some of the high end universal remotes have the functions to allow access. It is best to always have the original remote for the TV set.

When you set the backlights to high it causes the inverter board to generate more energy, as well as consume more from the power supply, all the while both are generating more heat. If you have your set mounted (restricting the vents) and/or you regularly use the high setting, that could cause capacitors to bulge and leak due to excessive heat damage. I would open her up and have a look at the power supply and inverter boards. Check for bad caps or board surface discolorations.

This is a good indication that the capacitors on the power supply are failing. Is it under warranty? If so, contact Hitachi to find a certified service center. If it isn't, you will have to find somewhere to take it to get the power supply replaced or fixed.

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

Make sure there are batteries in the remote and that you are pointing directly at the TV. Also the settings button may not work on the remote, you can try a universal remote if that doesn't work.
