Television
scanning the channels would not have done damage, the tv probably just sensed the unplugging of the power as a ''spike'' in the power line.
Just let it sit unplugged for a while and then plug it back in, should turn back on again. also, if you are on cable or such, the scanning of the channels should actually be done, in ordr to see all available channels when the vcr is not in use, or if not, just set it to channel 3 or 4 to see it through the cable box.
ps..
In the future, don't buy tv/vcr / dvd comos, the main reason why most peole buy those things is so the kids will leave the bigger tv set alone, problem with that is- kids will be kids, and sooner than later they will stick something the player's slot and screw the unit up- that leaves the tv by itself, which they will not want to see if the player is not working.
so you are out of both and the kids are back taking the bigger tv away from you.
best thing is always to buy separate units (vcr/dvd player combo's or separate units are usually cheaper to buy separately along with a dedicated tv than one of those all in one units.
something goes wrong, just fix or buy a replacement for the system.
and you get to keep your own tv.
Sharp 27" VHS combo
Sounds like the vert output is defective. In this model i dont remember if its an IC or transistors. Also check the b+ resistor and cap comming off the flyback transformer as it will begin with the same parts seris #s that the vert output does. If your not an electronic troublkeshooter your gonna have to decide if you have gotten your moneys worth out of it and buy a new one or if you wanna keep patching it as It will continue to have falures in the next months to come or years to come as a 9 year old set is an old set in these parts. Now there are areas in the world where a new tv would take a years salary so peeps do have them repaired. Its all up to you. Good Luck
How can I make the text sharp on Magnavox model 22ME601B/F7?
- Check HDMI Cable Connection: If you're using an external device like a cable box, gaming console, or streaming device connected to the TV via HDMI cable, ensure that the HDMI cable is securely plugged into both the TV and the external device. A loose connection can cause intermittent resolution adjustments.
- Adjust Picture Settings: Navigate to the TV's menu and check the picture settings. Look for options related to display resolution, aspect ratio, or picture mode. Ensure that the settings are configured correctly for your viewing preferences. Try resetting the picture settings to default and see if the issue persists.
- Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your TV. Sometimes, software updates can fix bugs or issues related to display resolution adjustments. You can usually check for updates in the TV's settings menu or visit the manufacturer's website for instructions on how to update the firmware.
- Check Signal Source: If you're experiencing resolution adjustments while watching content from an external device, such as a cable box or streaming device, make sure the signal source is sending a consistent signal. Issues with the signal source can sometimes cause the TV to adjust its display resolution.
- Reset TV: Try performing a factory reset on your TV to restore it to its original settings. Keep in mind that this will erase any customized settings and preferences, so you may need to set up the TV again after the reset.
- Contact Magnavox Support: If the issue persists after trying the above steps, it's possible that there may be a hardware problem with the TV. In this case, it's recommended to contact Magnavox customer support for further assistance or to inquire about repair options.
By following these troubleshooting steps, you should be able to diagnose and resolve the issue of your Magnavox TV constantly adjusting its display resolution.
Hope this helps

Changing analog to digital on Sharp TV
Unfortunately, you cannot convert an analog TV to digital simply by changing settings. The transition from analog to digital involves hardware changes. If you have an older Sharp TV without a built-in digital tuner, you may need an external digital converter box or consider upgrading to a newer TV with a built-in digital tuner to receive digital broadcasts.

Sharp 60LE600U stand by light is on, backlights come on and go right back out along with the standby light?
From the past history of Hisense brands of TV's the power board very seldom gives issues, they build them quite well, the only way to troubleshoot this issue is with a multimeter, look for the power on pin on the power supply connector going to the main board, you need to see about 3.5 vdc there when you turn the set on, I think you will see the voltage there for a few seconds then drop to almost 0, if you find this it's the eeprom that's lost it's data, this IC is located on the main board, there are 2 fixes, one is to replace the IC the other is replace the board. The chip costs under $20 but it's somewhat difficult to replace. Here is the listing for the IC https://www.shopjimmy.com/sharp-dkeymf905fm04-kf905-qpwbxf905wjzz-main-board-loc-ic8401-eeprom-only/
