Where is the monitor connected to the computer? Is it an analog or digital cable? Look on the monitor setup screen and see if changing the input signal will get you a picture. My suggestion would be to take the instructions and follow them implicitly as I found with my HP Scanners in the past that they are really particular about when you plug in the cables and turn on and open the program etc. If I did them in the wrong order the system does not pickup the required instructions and you then don't have a successful install. Once working they are fine.

Another possibility is temperature threshold setting in the BIOS or some control panel tool run within Windows. If the threshold is set too low, the computer will turn off to protect the CPU. It may have something to do with the fan settings. Quiet setting for fans may prevent them from going full speed to cool things down. Try to run a system monitor tool to see how its handling the extra gaming load.

check the cable for the bad monitor at BOTH ends.
