don't worry too much about the message, changing the usb port won't make any notable difference, just leave it where it works best.

CANNOT INSTALL HP SCANNER OFFICEJET 6500 TO ASUS DESKTOP CM6870
My suggestion would be to take the instructions and follow them implicitly as I found with my HP Scanners in the past that they are really particular about when you plug in the cables and turn on and open the program etc. If I did them in the wrong order the system does not pickup the required instructions and you then don't have a successful install. Once working they are fine.
Asus overheating my gpu
It could be a marginal power supply, gaming puts more requirement, processing power, therefore more power is required by the CPU and the graphics card. And of you are overclocking then it needs even more power and generates more heat.
If you have a dedicated video card installed you should have a 550W power supply.

Another possibility is temperature threshold setting in the BIOS or some control panel tool run within Windows. If the threshold is set too low, the computer will turn off to protect the CPU. It may have something to do with the fan settings. Quiet setting for fans may prevent them from going full speed to cool things down.
Try to run a system monitor tool to see how its handling the extra gaming load.
Help, my Asus Essentio CG5290 won't post after moving.
check the cable for the bad monitor at BOTH ends. Some cables detach from BOTH ends, and if one side is lose, then you will get weird stuff happening....odd colors, lines etc.Otherwise...it would seem to be a bad cable....which would **** if it is one of those that does NOT detach from both ends.....since you can't just go get another monitor cable.Tallon41
