Formatting problem
Hello Dear
#1
Insert your ( memory card , flash disk , cellphone , .... ) into your computer.
#2
Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
#3
Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
#4
In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
#5
Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
#6
Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.
File system error
restore the firmware from your computer and get the latest updates for it from creatives web site
Power won't stay on more than 10 seconds even with
Not sure how this helps, but mine does the same thing - shuts off somewhere in the startup sequence, sometimes makes it to a music track, then shuts off, etc. I have actually sat and continually pressed the power button to see if it cleared up - voila'.. after about 15 power cycles, it stayed on.. Will post back here if there's any "better" solutions. (I am searching for a better answer myself.)
How to record with built in mike
Hi vivek,
The mike should be built in as a tiny hole either on the front face or back face of the Nano. Browse through the menu to access the recording function. The logo should probably be that of a microphone, and the accompanying legend should be "recorder" or "record". Click it once to go into recording mode, then click it again when you want to start recording. A black circle should appear to the left. Click again when you want to end the track. Note that you cannot pause in the recording - everytime you stop and then start, the Nano will fire up a new blank track. Hope this helps. Ask again if you've any other problem.
Shouldn't have Formatted shouldn't I?
Hello
Try resetting the device by pushing a pin into the small hole for about 3 - 6 seconds. You can also try to switch on the mp3 player and format it on the mp3 player itself if you have this function. One of these to solutions should work either way.
Best regards

How can I use Zan nano plus 1GB Mp3?
ok from what i know of that model the middle button should be a multi function button try pressing and holding it for a short time and see if that brings up a menu of some kind then use the fast foward/reverse buttons or the up/down buttons to navigate thru the menu once your on the music menu or whatever try pressing the middle button to select it
im sorry if this is incorrect but its an attempt hope im right :)
I need to find an installation program to switch
try here first and if that doesn't work you should be able to load it using the drag and drop method

heres the drag and drop/windows media player options
**Drag and Drop**
Connect your MP3 player to the computer. Some MP3 players connect directly to a USB port, while others connect to a USB port by way of a specific USB connector that comes with the MP3 player. Open the folder on the computer that contains the music files you want to transfer. This is usually the "My Music" folder, available from the "Start" menu, but it can be any folder where you save your music files. Scroll down to the song you want to transfer to the MP3 player. Right-click on the title. When the options are displayed, click on "Send To." Scroll down the "Send To" options and select your MP3 player. This can be listed as your MP3 player's name or as "Removable Drive." Click on this selection. Continue this process until you have transferred all songs that you want to your MP3 player.
--**Windows Media Player**--
If you have a large playlist to transfer, you may prefer to do it from your media player, such as Windows Media Player. Once your MP3 player is connected to the computer, open Windows Media Player. Click on the "Sync Music" tab. Drag songs that you want from your Windows Media Library over to the "Sync Music" column to create a playlist. Click the "Begin Sync" tab at the bottom once you have all of the songs on your playlist. This action will sync all of the songs to your MP3 player with one click. Disconnect your device once songs have been transferred by clicking on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the bottom-right side of the desktop tray.
