How to turn on webcam
The quickest way to find your webcam is to click start, type in "web" it should be on the top of the search, then just click to open it.
If it is disabled go to your control panel, click hardware, then Divice Manager. It will bring up your system Devices. Click on Imaging Devices. It will bring up your webcam, click it, then then click "Driver." Click to enable it.
Some laptops may have a "hotkey" to turn it on, the key will usually have a camera icon, it is an "f" key. Mine does not, so I cannot tell you which key.

Optical Drive Malfunction

Cmos jumper
To set the CMOS/BIOS back to the factory default you can just remove the BIOS battery for 20 mins oe if you cannot wait then short out the battery holder contacts with a paper clip. Then replace the BIOS battery, go into the BIOS setting and set the Date & Time etc.

The TouchPad is turned on at the factory. When the TouchPad zone is active, the light is off.
To turn the TouchPad on and off, quickly double-tap the TouchPad off indicator.
the indicator is on the top left side of TouchPad zone.

Hello,
you do not need to install any special software.
Here is what you have to do to turn off the mouse pad of your hp probook 4525s;
Turn on your hp probook 4525s, wait till it boots completely.
Click start,
Scroll to Control Panel select Control Panel.
Under control panel, (you will find a Mouse icon), click Mouse and a dialogue box will pop out.
On the dialogue box, click "Device settings".
Under device settings, you will find "Synaptics Touchpad..."
Highlight the "Synaptics Touchpad..." by clicking on it once, then click disable.
By now the mouse pad should be disabled. Apply the changes for it to take affect.
To enable follow the same procedure and click enable using an external USB mouse.

Somehow I locked the mousepad on my HP ProBook
During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup
Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS you can load failsafe defaults or load optimized defaults ,press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart

During the boot process tap the f8 button three times this will boot into safe mode where the only things
working will be your mouse and keyboard enabling you to attempt to repair your computer

HP G72-253NR Laptop - Using an External Keyboard
I think you have a broken USB keyboard or USB port. Simply plugging in the keyboard should be enough to make it work. First try the keyboard in a different USB port. Test the caps lock to see if the LED goes on and off. Also try a different keyboard and also test it in a different computer.
