NO COLOR IN MY RCA F36668 TV
Could be a bad TV or it could be loose TV connections feeding to the back of the TV. Any poor or loose connections in the cable leads causes a loss of signal strength to the TV.
Old cables and connection supplying TV Cable to the house or apartment can cause this problem also.
Rolling lines on screen
Sounds like the power supply has a bad capacitor. This problem can inject excessive 60 hz from the AC line into the vertical stabilizing picture system. The hum also my come from the same reason, bad or leaking filter capacitors. Cheaper just to buy a new TV or borrow another TV and connected to your system to see if the problem still occurs.

TV turns off by itself, juggling power cord causes TV to come back on
It could seem to be a power cord problem But when you move around the cord you are realisticly flexing the printed circuit board assy. If you know all the safety issues around the servicing a solid state tv, then Of course I will assit you, in any way I can, But you must be aware of the high voltage that these sets store , even if they Are unplugged. Its a total safety issue. If you have no experience using a multi- meter as well as the safety issue awarness, then PLEASE seek a pro to assist you with this reapir, as it will get worse in the long run and cost ya more to fix, as everytime you move around the cord and the set shuts off, then goes on , your surging the componets!. Good Luck
