Rca F27650 no remote no g-link how do i program for local channels w/antenna

You should have a remote control to program this TV. If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand. They can either give you a genuine remote control to your device, or can direct you, from where can you purchase a suitable one. To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability? Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have. Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the site http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ Check this site too. http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops.

Top and bottom of the screen are cut off

That set has an aspect ratio of 4:3. The problem is that what you are sending to it is 16:9 So you are sending an hd signal to a non HD television. The tuner is NTSC which is not HD. Theres not much that you can do about this.

Just of a sudden no power and only a pop sound if want to turn it

Yes. The high voltage refers to 25,000+ voltage needed to fire the CRT. The high voltage output is identified as the thick lead attached to the side of the CRT. Warning this is extremely dangerous! The entire circuit board has voltage present at varying voltage levels.

We replaced the transformer for our RCA F27650.

Hello
Along with the flyback transofrmer, its horizontal output transistor also must be replaced. I don't know whether you have replaced it or not. If not, replace it too. It can be located very near to the flyback transformer, a three terminal component, black in colour, usually screwed to a metal heatsink. Then switch on the TV and measure the video output voltage at the video output card pluged directly to the picture tube neck. The collector of the video aoutput transistors must come around 145VDC. If it also is there, advance the screen control on the flyback transformer to get a raster. If that voltage is not there, it means that the flyback transformer is not working, and horizontal oscillator stage should be checked for oscillation, check the lined drive transformer for its primary winding open, Check the entire horizontal oscillator section. The collector point of the line drive transistor, the transistor that drives the line drive transformer, a small transformer soldered diretly to the printed circuit board; should be checked with frequency meter. The frequency at that point should come around 15525HZ approx: OK.

While horizontal line and good picture in bottom half of screen

Look for bad capacitors in the vertical deflection amp, and in the pin amp sections. This is common on most of these types of TV sets.

The caps tend to go high in ESR with age. It is best to use an ESR meter to find the bad caps. It will be a lot faster than workign out waveforms with a scope.

Wide screen

Normallly, if the picture size button on the remote for the television does not achieve the desired affect, then, a cable box or a satelite box is where the change needs to be made.
For example:
A Motorola Cable box needs to be set up to go to a wide screen or zoom when an analog signal is detected.
Some Dish Network boxes have Size buttons on their remotes and also in their main menu.
The name of the button on the remote is called format.
It's difficult to determine the repair without knowing the types of the peripherals.
Hope this helps.

RCA horizontal screen issue

Although I was able to get into the screen adjustment menu by following the below instructions, I ended up having to have the "pincushion module and 2HV diodes" replaced along with a repair to the deflection circuit.

If you choose to try to system settings, good luck, but make sure to write down your original value before changing any values and make sure that you do not change Parameter #42 (value has to be 247).

Instructions:
  1. TV turned on
  2. Press and hold the "menu" button at the TV
  3. Press and release the "power" button.
  4. Press and release the "vol up" button.
  5. Release the 'menu" button.
  6. The initial security parameter displayed will be 'zero' Change this to '76'.
  7. YOU ARE NOW IN ADJUSTMENT MODE
  8. Use the 'channel up or down' to select parameter 'p'.
  9. Write down the old value of the parameter before changing.
  10. Use the 'volume up of down' buttons to change the barameter value.
  11. When you have made all the adjustments turn the set off to exit.
Note: The Horizontal size it parameter 21 and the horizontal position is parameter 15.

Horizontally Outstretched

Hello Toasty07,

This problem is called blooming it is caused by poor high voltage regulation. To fix this problem I would suggest that you take the TV to a TV repair shop because the section requiring the work contains very dangerous voltages and a great shock hazard exists. Just tell the TV repair person that you believe the Tv has a HV regulation problem and to concentrate on the HV section of the TV.

Thank you,

RCA F27650 32" TV Problem

Hello ddw7321,

This sounds like it could be a malfunction in the High Voltage section of the TV. The shutdown circuit is switching on and preventing the TV from turning on. This might be due to an excessive amount of current flow possibly caused by a shorted turn in the Integrated High Voltage Transformer (IHVT), or a shorted Horizontal Output Transistor (HOT). To test this you will have to unplug the TV set, and with a multimeter set to resistance, measure the resistance from the collector of the HOT to ground, If it reads 0 ohms then that is the problem (a shorted HOT). The next test which is of the IHVT is a little difficult because it requires removing the IHVT and doing a ring test. At this point I would like to suggest that you take the TV to a repair shop, because these next test might be difficult for someone who does not know electronics, and if you have no knowledge of electronics you may do more damage then good.

With that being said:

Remove the HV anode of the IHVT connected to the CRT by first using a large flathead screwdriver connected with a clip lead to the ground of the TV, by sliding the screwdriver under the rubber cap and releasing the clips. Then unsolder the pins on the bottom of the IHVT using a soldering iron and a suction type desoldering pump. when the solder is removed , pull the IHVT from the circuit board. locating the main primary winding connect it to the device that you are using to perform your ring test (I use a Sencore LC-102), when it is connected do the ring test and it should have at least 10 rings to be considered good, any less then 10 and the IHVT is to be considered as bad.

I hope this helps.

Thank you,

TV won't stay turned on, no picture, started making high pitched noise

That high pitched noise you're hearing is the power supply telling you that it has too much of a load on it and lowered its operating frequency which in effect cuts its output way down! Normally you don't hear any thing since the power supply operates at a frequency that's beyond human hearing. In an RCA this indicates more than likely that your horizontal output transistor is shorted and this short was caused by the flyback transformer shorting. This is a common happening with RCA's You'd need to take to a tv shop and have it checked out. Stargazer

NO POWER

If the unit turns on then off quickly or there is a squeeling noise from the power supply (usually faint but noticable) there is a short and the switching powersupply is shutting on and off rapidly. Usually on RCA's the Horizontal output transistor and flyback go out on this model alot.

Tv turns black and white

No, the tube is not bad. There are a couple of very small surface mount components mounted by the main microprocessor that could be causing what you are seeing. They are very small and quite hard to unsolder and replace without losing them. The set should be serviced by a qualified tech familiar with the new RCA chassis.
