Most TV's have an option in the menu for antenna/air and cable. I t may also be labeled digital and analog as well. You need to ensure that you have this set to the signal you are trying to receive. Some TV's have two coaxial connections at the back usually labeled antenna A and antenna B or air and cable. If your's has this option you will need to be on the correct input for the signal you want to receive. I hope this is of assistance to you and thanks for using Fix Ya.
RCA Model f27650 High pitch squeal
the high pitch squeal indicates shorted component/s. the transformer goes hot co'z its being overloaded by the shorted component, it too could be the one creating the squeal!!
if you have experience with electronic troubleshooting, try to test some of the components particularly on the secondary part of the transformer.
Be careful and make sure the TV set is unplugged.
test for shorted diodes and transistors, if you're in doubt of your readings try to desoldering one leg of the diode then proceed with the testing/measuring. replace any of the bad components you find exactly with same part number or replacements with the same rating.
spend more time on it resoldering some other cold soldered components.

If it weren't for the high pitch whining noise. I would say it probably is an internal fuse inside the chasis. It is rated at 1.5 to 2.0 amps. With the whining noise it sounds like a trouble shooting bench
job. Problems occur when a electrical/electronics device is turned on and turned off. Inrush voltage,
when it is turned on, can go up to three times more than normal. This also happens at turn off. Solid state components usually fail at this time. I don't feel that this is a problem that can be fixed in the home.---BBB
Thin lines across the screen
This is a vertical problem
could be bad soldier bad caps or a burend resistor in the verticl section.
vertical repair kit cost about $39, but youl need a tech to do the install.
tv shop should repair for about 60 to 80 usd.

I have an RCA color
sounds like what we call "jail bars" if this the case replace the screen cap. It should be around the flyback and rated at 200 volts at least

This could cause a problem, because modern TVs and most other entertainment electronic goods, have a small kind of computer chip, but there should be a Reset button probably inside the set!
If you feel confident about computer chips you may be able to find the button by tracing the circuit.(Disconnected from the mains).
Another idea is if there is a small button cell or battery inside, then try disconnecting it for a day.
Good Luck!
Flyback Transformer Replacement
ACME has FBT with 1yr. warranty on them. 1-800-575-9833 I have Never had any Problems with flybacks from them.21.95 for part their. DO not get the HR fly they have focus and high voltage wires backwards. Most of the high voltage wires you twisted them out from flyback then reinstall in New one.And the button on end of wire is Anode button that connects in picture tube.
RCA F32650 32'' TV Just stopped working and 3 months after warranty 3-yr warranty expired
This is a very common problem with RCA tV sets. But unfortanatly, RCA is no longer made in this country or even owned by RCA anymore. They are a Canadian company called Thompson Corp and could not give two hoots about any problems with TV sets sold here in america. I say this from experience and try to contact them and file a complaint. ther customer service is rude and basicly calls us idiots! Alot of class action suits are pending or have been dropped as for the amount of sets they company have sold,They have attorneys working for them and delaying the cases. It is really the fault of the US Judges that are total morons about these things and try to go by un written laws. They dont have a clue as most of the US goverment does not. Your problem is not a power supply problem, But a high voltage transformer and a horizontal output transistor, and the reason why the estimate was so high, is because the tranformer is no longer available. Thats why the estimate is so high. Because who in there right mind would spend so much on a set as this. You can buy a 32" RCA(BUT I WOULD NOT BUY TRASH)At Wally World for less the $250.00 bucks! I no longer accept RCA TVs in for repair as replacement parts are so much money and im not proud to say I work on RCA TV sets. Total garbage sets!!
Remote, menu button, volume up buttons dont work anymore
You need to open the remote unit and clean the touch pad contacts and the circuit board contact points with pure isopropyl alcohol.
Grease may have worked itself into the remote an has caused those button contacts not to produce the data signals.
Tv turns itself on and off
This is usually caused by the tac switches going bad.
Normally the owner allows water or cleaning fluid to run down the face of the screen into the cabinet when cleaning the screen. The fluid contaminates the switches. Intermittent data get sent to the microprocessor causing the on/off signal to be produced.
Replace the switches and your problem should be resolved.
