Samsung TX-R2735 27" TV Questions & Answers
TV no image no sound
That happened to my parents tv, I vacuumed out the back of the television to get out all the dust and it came back on. Hope this helps.
Samsung has intermitent bright lines
it sounds like the tv has a dry joint (loose conection ,bad conection) on the mian board.
it would need repiars.
Try slaping the tv and see if the fault comes and goes- if it does the problem is a dry joint.
by slaping i dont meen hiting it with all your might / only slightly tapping on top or the sides of the unit.
No colour when dvd player connected to tv
I would try a different set of cables to hook up the dvd player, sounds like you either have bad wires or bad ports on either the tv or dvd player. Test each and see which one it is, hopefully it's only a set of cables.
No color
Check for the clour settings from the TV or from the remote and reset it to full
Surround sound hook up
if you are trying to hook up your stereo to your tv here is how it goes you go out and buy an audio video cable which are just four ports two on one end and two on another you have your stereo system on aux which means other for either movies, games, etc. and then if your tv has a audio video input you put two into the tv one for the audio and the other for the video hopefully your tvs or movies, etc should be coming out from your stereo rather than your tv
TV TURNS OFF AT DIFFERENT INTERVALS
How old is your TV?
TV's have a circuit that monitors the high voltage and shuts down the
set if it senses something amiss. If the set is at least 10 years
old this is typical and not worth repairing. If less, figure on
replacing the flyback transformer.
Hope ya fix it!
Audio: Occasional high pitched sound
TV's have a number of devices called coil (coils of wire) that can make
noises like that if they get overloaded. Apparently, you have a
bad solder connection somewhere causing this condition in one of the
circuits. Perhaps a tech can open the set up while running and
listen to discover which component is 'singing' and resolder the
associated circuitry. I'm guessing the set is over ten years old
to be having this kind of problem in which case it isn't worth a lot of
effort to solve.
Hope Ya Fix it!

My TV turns off by itself. How do I correct this?
If you can find an inexpensive repair shop, I'd try that. For example, we have a place in town with an honest repairman who will fix about any issue with TVs/stereos. If he cannot fix it, he will not charge.
I would think that this problem is on the power supply. Perhaps a cap or transistor on the output side of the PS. I am not a technician though so I can't be sure. This is just a common symptom/solution from what you've described.
