Try removing the batteries from the remote after you set the volume, just to determine if the remote is causing the problem or not. I have seen stuff spilled on remotes and they just go crazy.

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.
In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
Before going further; try a hard reset first. If it does not help you, replace the main digital board. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here.

I'll go through the basics that you can try yourself. It might be a problem with the backlighting, which usualy is very cheap to fix - take a flash light, dim the lights in the room and flash the light into the screen to see if theres any picture visible. If so then you're looking at a backlight or backlight inverter failure, like I said, cheap. second(or first) thing to try is changing the cables you have the TV connected with, they might not be seated well, or have some other problem. For a tutorial on changing the inverter click here: http://www.lcdpart.com/doc/inverter_installation.html BUT - have a warranty? don't touch it and take it back to the shop. Good luck

With an out of warranty set, to which consumer court you're going to claim for a replacement? Think something possible. There are some other reasons for the line fault to this kind of TV. Check this link. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Defective screen shots to LCD displays are given. Pull up older posts there, either by its left side bar, or, see it in Timeslide option. Compare them to that of your TVs screen fault, and make sure.

It can be the pwoersupply, T-CON board (more likely that this TV T-CON board is part of the LCD panel), main board.
You will need the cold spray for electronics troubleshooting to narrow down which board is bad.
Look at the power supply caps first for caps with domed tops.

Basic troubleshooting guide here:

Or www.digikey.com just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current, long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.
Please leave rating if it helps.

It seems that the high voltage is leaking, or it might have some capacitors which are also leaking. I order to repair this problem, you should contact a qualified technician. Check all the basic connection, also for the earth (grounding).

You are on the right track, you have the video working fine correct? To get the sound working you should be using a PC audio cable that has 3.5mm jack on one end and two rca plugs on the other end.(you can purchase these at any number of local and online stores, just search PC audio cable)

Depending on what type of soundcard you have you should have a mic input, and headphones jack among other things.

You will want to plug the 3.5mm plug into the headphones jack, then plug the red and white rca plugs into the AUDIO IN jacks on the back of the TV.

That should fix your problem, Ive often used LCD TV's as computer monitors especially at party's and events. Post back if you have anymore questiions or comment's for further assistance. Thank you for choosing Fixya!

this is due to leakages in your internal circuit... this generally happens due to aging... the part which has suffered damage has to be found and replaced... but this part can be identified only physically testing the voltages and currents on the internal circuit...
