Dyson V6 Animal Bagless Cordless Stick Vac Questions & Answers
Dyson V6 Animal keeps start and stopping.
Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.
Your Dyson V6 vacuum is designed to make a pulsing noise to warn you when something is preventing airflow from passing through the machine. This could be a blockage in the motorised floor tool, wand or bin inlet. It's also a good idea to check the bin inlet flap can open and close freely, and isn't jammed in place.
Our video support guide will walk you through the simple troubleshooting checks:
I'm confident that removing any blockages and checking the bin inlet flap will resolve the issue with your machine. But if you would like any further help, just give the Dyson Customer Helpline a call on 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) 1800 239 766 (AU), or 0800 298 0298 (UK).
My Dyson v6 animal vacuum won't charge
Hello. I have the same problem as Shelly. My Dyson will not charge. When removed form the charger the LED light flashes a few times and then stops. The motor does not run at all. When the machine is returned to the charger the same thing happens. LED light flashes , then stops! The power supply from the mains plug is live. Any ideas please? From Eleanor O'Neill.

Hello, this is Ava with Think Crucial.
There are a number of reasons why your Dyson cleaner is pulsating off and on. First, it can be due to a battery of the cleaner. Make sure that the power cable is properly plug to the power and seated properly from the unit while charging. If you find that the battery isn't charging at all, you may need to replace the battery. Second is to check the MAX button of your cleaner. If the button lights up and flashes when your Dyson keeps on pulsating, press and hold the power button and depress the MAX button to turn off the function. You may need to do it for a few times to get the hang of it. Third is to check for any blockages or clogs in the attachments. Look down through the tube and check to see if there are clogs on the sweeper end or if the roller is tangled up in fibers. Clean the roller brush are if it it's necessary. You may need to empty the dust bin of your unit as debris can build up in hard to reach places. Lastly, cleaning the filters may fix the pulsating of your cleaner. Remove the filter and rinse it with cold water and air dry it for 12 hours. Don't use detergent when washing your filters. If the pulsating doesn't go with the given quick fix, I suggest to contact Dyson for further assistance on this.

Dyson V6 Animal worked well for a couple weeks and all of the sudden stopped charging.
Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.I'm sorry to hear your V6 has stopped charging. If you're charging your machine with the charger cord attached to the docking station, please check the charger cord is firmly and correctly attached at the top of the docking station. If it's out of position, it's possible the charger plug isn't making correct contact with the machine itself. If you've ruled this out, we'd appreciate the opportunity to talk you through some further quick diagnostic checks. It sounds as if your machine should be well within our 2-year guarantee, so if a repair or a replacement part is needed, I'm sure we can help. When you have your machine easily to hand, please call the Dyson Customer Helpline on 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) 1800 239 766 (AU), or 0800 298 0298 (UK).We'll look forward to speaking with you.
My Dyson v6 with purple dust container, power surge whilst vacuuming and then it stops all together even though it's fully charged
Hi Sally, it's Jack at Dyson.
Your V6 machine will pulse to let you know if something is preventing airflow from passing through the machine. This could occur if there's a blockage in the floor tool, wand or bin inlet. It's also worth checking the bin inlet flap can open and close freely, and isn't jammed shut with debris.
Our video guide should help get your machine up and running again:
