If you know your way around the inside of the set, take the back off, Plug in the set and watch to see if the fans fire up, do not touch anything in the bacjk while the set is on, remember your just looking. Now if you have a good visual you may also be able to see if there is lots of dust build up in or around the fans, if so unplug the set and carefully use a portable vacume on each fan, plug it in and see if that helped, if not replace fan, if you can see which one that needs to be replaced, failing that call a tech.

Sounds like DLP chip not making good contact or bad. It's not soldered, but spring clamped down to contacts.

Look for the button labeled format , zoom, aspect or picture size and press it until picture is the size you want.

Your lamp is getting old.  When it shuts off the led in the front (the one that says Lamp) should be blinking a code, several short blinks followed by a pause.  Count the blinks and compare them to the info in the manual.  My lamp went out after 4 years, $46 to replace it was all.

This is very common with Samsung and is considered a overheating or lamp issue. cheapest fix before changing out the lamp is to unplug the unit after it has shut off its fans and open the back up and blow all the vents and circuit boards off with can of compressed air. Then remove the lamp to get to the larger fan that is behind the lamp, be carefull to not let the fans to spin when you hit it with the air because it will spin the fans faster than they are ment to spin, so gently place a finger on the blades just enough to keep the fan still and clean off any dust you see on the blades and area. Put everything together and give it a test run. If it stays on longer you know it was just to dusty to stay cool , if no change then try the lamp.

lamp is made by philps . you can buy the lamp with or with out the houseing cheaper to by without the houseing.

It could be a number of things, if your tv is over 4. yrs old it can potentially be the ballast. Might not be able to support the lamp. if you're hearing a rapid clicking and or a buzzing sound. you probably looking at a bad ballast

yes u need to remove this jumper , if u look ur tv from the back the jumper is on the board that is attach to the optical block it is cover by a shield plate if look closer there is a small hole u may need a fine plier to take this jumper out

If you do it could be an issue with the color wheel.The color wheel is a rotating disc that has a gamma of colors it spins at high rpms.The light of the lamp goes through it to create the colors on your tv.When it starts to go bad you will get color distortion ,black and white picture and sometimes you will hear humming noises.

It the colors wheel,the fan don't make that much loud of a noise.When the colors wheel spins off it axis it make very loud squizzing and buzzing noises.

I don't think its the lamp. I replaced my lamp a couple of months ago and then suddenly on Sunday I've got the exact same problem. Still looking for an answer.

All three lights blinking in Samsung tv is most common issue that shows problem with color wheel, lamp or ballast supply board.
Let me know what has been tested/ checked in tv so far to diagnose the problem.
How old is this tv and did you replaced lamp recently?
