No picture after replacing color wheel
every time I see this itbis a cable or plug that was left out or one that got pulled on and pulled the connector up out of the plug a little, you need, and not by sight by your hands to go over every plug and connector till you find one.

Blurred color and hum
Actually this issue seems to be with your color wheel. Samsung TVs have 2 type of color wheels, silver and gold bearing. The only thing you need to do, is to identify which one of them you have, then buy one and get it replaced.

My picture won't show after replacing the lamp
Actually that humming sound was not the lamp, the humming sounds come from color wheels when they're going out, and since the color wheel is part of the light engine system and it's not working, that's why you don't have an image, you'll probably ask your self why, since it's not the lamp..
the thing is that the light engine system is componed by lamp, ballast, color wheel and dmd board, so when one of these doesn't work, there will be no image reflected, because they work together

The Samsung HL-P5063W
lamp went out,
Hello there, it is possible that it's just a fan on the unit that has died, and if so it may be replaceable by yourself. However it does sound like the lamp has actually failed, and possibly the power supply along with it (or maybe the power supply failed causing the lamp to go). Either way it is most likely much more serious than just a bad fan.
I would have someone give you a free estimate / evaluation locally if possible.
Here are the parts for that TV if you wanted to get an idea of the cost per part:

When tuned on the lamplight
Sounds like the Digital bd is bad. Check to see if you can see any bright light coming from the rear of the set through the vent slats when you first turn on the set. If you can the the Digital bd is the problem.

Look in the rear of the set and locate the Lamp Door, Remove the screws. Once you have removed the Lamp Door you will see a Lamp Module. There are two screws to remove on each side ot the Module. Remove the Lamp Module by the handle and look at the front glass, DO NOT TOUCH at all. If you see shattered glass inside then the Lamp is bad and needs to be replaced. Advice: Since your set is a older model it is advised you replace the Lamp Ballast as well because if you replace only the lamp, the Ballast might reverse damage your new lamp. Lamp part# is BP96-00826a and Ballast is BP96-00690A. If this does not fix the problem then come back and report what you have done and what the symptoms are. Togather we Can get this tv fixed.

A Blinking Lamp LED is the most common failure indication. It can be caused by a bad lamp, a bad Ballast, Color Wheel not operating, Fans not turning, or even other defective Boards. I would suspect the Ballast or fan first though.
Hope this helps,

I fixed it, if anyone is having this problem, you will have to tell your Directv box to only accept 720p resolution, I only have one line hooked up to my Hd-DVR right now and I had to tell the Directv box that it was on a Single tuner not Dual, I re-booted the directv box and everything works. I hope this helps anyone w/ an older model DLP, It took me hours on the internet to find the answers I needed.

Humming noise
There are only two moving parts in this set. The fans and the color wheel. Typically when the color wheel starts to break or go on the fritz, the tv stops working. Count your blessings you've still got the picture. Open the back and turn the tv on. The color wheel is located on the optics block tray. The fans are very visible with the back off. Stop the fan for a second and see if the sound goes away. If not, you might want to start looking around for a replacement color wheel. Rivervalleyelectronics.net is a good place to start. Sometimes Discountmerchant.com carries them too. Be aware that there two different wheels available. If the fan is the culprit of your problem. Radioshack will likely have a replacement for you. If you need further help, post a comment or email me and I'll send you pictures of what to look for.

Good luck.
