I Will continue adding my two cents to all of these posts :) Another thing to try I haven't mentioned would be to play a movie that you know is PAL. Since the camera is PAL. Color info and reference freq. is different. In fact unless you remove region codes all together use a converter box there is no way to play a movie that is NTSC. It wouldn't even read out on your LCD screen in the spot where it is suppose to be.

• -Open LCD screen
• -Press the 'View images' button to enter playback mode which looks like > with a square around it
• - Then use < and > on screen to SELECT the DVD
• -On this same screen TOP Right Hand corner of the screen you see the format mode. Select the SAME format as the file your trying to play.

Simple solution. You connected an output to an output. The Camcorder 'outputs' image from it so you need to plug it into an input on your TV. You will then see image from the camcorder on your tv.

hi you must have a broken wire in the flat ribbon of the LCD (the one for the blue colour). you have to replace it cheers mich
