IF YOUR UNIT IS A WK2200 IT SHOULD HAVE A SCREW ADJUSTMENT(THERMOSTAT) IN BETWEEN THE TWO BROWN GRILLS. IF SO IF THE FANS ARE RUNNING ON BOTH SIDES COLD AND HOT SIDE, AND NO COLD AIR IS BEING PRODUCED YOU PROBABLY HAVE A FREON LEAK AND THE UNIT REQUIRES A RECHARGE AFTER REPAIRING THE LEAK.

IF THE CELLAR TEMPERATURE IS AS YOU SAY 48 DEGREES AND IF YOU ARE TURNING THE SCREW ADJUSTMENT ALL THE WAY TO THE WARMER SETTING COUNTER CLOCK WISE AND THE UNIT DOESNT SHUT OFF YOU HAVE A BAD THERMOSTAT AND NEED TO REPLACE IT

ON A WKL 1060 AND FOR THAT MATTER ON ALL WKL UNITS THE E1 CODE IS NOT AN ERROR CODE ITS A FEATURE. ON INITIAL START UP OR AFTER UNPLUGGING THE UNIT FOR MORE THAN 10 MINUTES (RESETING THE BOARD) THE UNIT WILL RUN FOR 30 MINUTES AND THEN IT WILL CHECK TEMPERATURE INSIDE THE WINE ROOM, IF THE TEMPERATURE IS 70 DEGREES OR ABOVE IT WILL DISPLAY E1 AND SHUT OFF THE UNIT. YOU WILL HAVE TO RESET THE UNIT BY UNPLUGGING IT FOR NO LESS THAN 10 MINUTES TO RESTART THE UNIT, IT WILL RUN FOR ANOTHER CYCLE OF 30 MINUTES AND IT WILL RE CHECK TEMPERATURE AGAIN, IT HAS TO READ 69 OR LOWER FOR THE UNNIT TO RUN NON STOP TILL IT MEETS THE SET COOL POINT OF 55 DEGREES.

Check your temp. settings and that the fan in the freezer/refrigerator is working, if items are working, (normal settings are about 1/2 way of the dial range). then your problem is a Refrigerant leak. When refrigerant level is low, the lines start to freeze but as soon as the compressor stops, the ice will melt. When there is a problem with the.defrost timer or the defrost coil, Ice builds up and takes up to a day with the fridge open to melt.
The repair of a leak in the system should be performed by a qualified HVAC Technician.
I suggest to call and ask how much would it be to repair the leak, then you decide if it is worth fixing or just replace it.
