Eltax Thunder 10 Subwoofer - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

Is there something preventing you from trying a new cable? You're touching the problem when you wiggle it.

Unfortunately it does sounds like there has been a system overload. Your speaker is an active system meaning it has its own power unit inside. Somewhere in the internal amplifier there has been a circuit burned. I have copied the link to the contact page for the stereo repair search website. If you will do a search for your state information, this site will locate a repair service near you.

Hi, The hole that was cut for the tweeter is holding the magnet. It was tight going in. And hard to get out. Take a flat screwdriver and pry up one of the edges a little. Then go to opposite side and pry up a little bit. You may need to put something in the gap of the first side you pry up so it doesn't go back in. Once you have both sides up a little bit. You should be able to grab ahold of it with your fingers and remove it. May have to move it back and forth .

I agree, NE Speaker is the BEST repair speaker shop in the eastern half of the USA. I have an EV 12" speaker re-built there and its better than it was before it was blown. Great job NE Speaker!!!

A shelf that is expected to support 70 pounds will need to be attached to the studs, where ever they may be located.
Perhaps you can redesign or modify the provided hardware or invent your own mounting system.

Anything in the neighborhood of 8-ohms will usually fly safely with standard audio amplifiers. At only 50w x 2 you want efficient speakers. Watch the volume as this amp may clip if driven too hard. THAT will kill any speaker.

This owner had Valdus 200's and was happy. But just about any quality speaker in the 100w range should work out.

It sounds like the fuse is either about to go, or has gone out. I would take it to a pro if you are not so tech savvy, but if you are, just take it apart and replace the fuse. They are pretty cheap. If that doesn't help bring it back to life, it has a circuit board issue, which could be either a hard solider joint or a component that's about to burn up. I wish you luck, sorry I couldn't help much more than this.

After connecting one, turn on the other. Then while both are powered on? Press and hold the button on both earbuds until they connect to one another.
