Pleaseread the following carefully.Moisture condensation occurs, for example, when youpour a cold drink into a glass on a warm day. Drops ofwater form on the outside of the glass. In the same way,moisture may condense on the optical pick-up lensinside this unit, one of the most crucial internal parts ofthe player.Moisture condensation occurs during thefollowing cases.When you transport the player directly from a coldplace to a warm place.When you use the player in a room where you justturned on the heater, or a place where the cold airfrom the air conditioner directly hits the unit.In summer, when you use the player in a hot andhumid place just after you move the unit from an airconditioned room.When you use the player in a humid place.Do not use the player when moisturecondensation may occur.If you use the player in such a situation, it maydamage discs and internal parts. Remove the disc,connect the AC adapter, turn on the player, and leaveit for two or three hours. After two or three hours, theplayer will have warmed up and evaporated anymoisture.Optical pick-up lensWall outletNotes on handlingDo not shock the LCD monitor. It may cause unitdamage and malfunction.Do not use the player in a place subject to vibration.Neglecting this may cause malfunction of the playeror damage to the disc.Do not leave the player in a vehicle. Rise or drop intemperature may result in malfunction of the player.When transporting the player, the original shippingcarton and packing materials come in handy. Formaximum protection, repack the unit as it wasoriginally packaged at the factory.Do not use volatile liquids, such as insect spray, nearthe player. Do not leave rubber or plastic products incontact with the player for a long time. They will leavemarks on the finish.The player may become warm after a long period ofuse. This is not a malfunction.When the player is not in use, be sure to remove thedisc and turn off the power.If you do not use the player for a long period, the unitmay not function properly in the future. Turn on anduse the player occasionally.Notes on locatingWhen you place this player near a TV, radio, or VCR,the playback picture may become poor and the soundmay be distorted. In this case, move the player awayfrom the TV, radio, or VCR.Notes on cleaningUse a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.For stubborn dirt, soak the cloth in a weak detergentsolution, wring well and wipe. Use a dry cloth to wipeit dry.Do not use any type of solvent, such as thinner andbenzine, as they may damage the surface of theplayer.If you use a chemical saturated cloth to clean the unit,follow that products instructions.When cleaning the LCD monitor, use a soft, dry cloth.To obtain a clear pictureThe player is a high technology, precision device. If theoptical pick-up lens and disc drive parts are dirty or worndown, the picture quality becomes poor. To obtain aclear picture, we recommend regular inspection andmaintenance (cleaning or parts replacement) every1,000 hours of use depending on the operatingenvironment.
