Why isn't my bobbin threading?

Georgia, Generally it is one of two problems: 1. there is a thread stuck in the spindle where the metal disk attaches to the machine. If this is the problem, put a couple drops of oil on the spot and pull the thread loose. While you are there, you should be able to see a tiny hole at the top of the metal where the spindle runs between the disk and the bobbin. Put a couple drops of oil in that also. 2. Somehow the whole bobbin mechanism has slid forward and is not coming in contact with your belt when you engage your bobbin winder. To fix that, unscrew the two screws that attach the WHOLE METAL MECHANISM to the table. Shove the mechanism back towards the back of the machine, SLIGHTLY, and retighten the screws. After this, you might want to check to make sure that the tension on your bobbin isn't too tight. You only need minimal tension on it to wind a good bobbin. Good Luck.

Juki DDL-8700 wheel not turning. Initially running fine, after a few minutes, wheel seizes. Machine is oiled, and we can see oil in the viewing window, Machine looks very clean inside. Motor sounds

Have you tried cleaning it? Sometimes a piece of thread or some fuzz gets in between the parts and causes friction. If you have a manual, or can get one online, you should walk through the pages on cleaning and do each and every part of the cleaning. If that doesn't work, call a professional. There are service people who come out to your shop and work on industrial machines. Mine charges $55, plus parts if needed.

How do I stop my Juki DDL-8700 machine from skipping stitches?

set up on quilting table? wheres the oil pan?? if your machine sews fine straight and skips on curves i think you are lifting the presser ft as you make the turn. theres nothing wrong with the machine. you could always change the needle which is always the first thing when you encounter a sewing problem.

Knee lift won't engage on my Juki. Ddl-8700industrial straight stitch

tilt machine back and look at the lifter bar. try moving it now without any pressure on it. move ok then problem too much presser ft tension of the lifter plate on the vertical bar under the machine is bent or not high enough or not align with the botton of the part the machine thta connects to the presser ft. the lifter bar connected to the knee lifter can be bent to line up with the bar on the machine. go to the other side of the machine and look in thru the oil pan to see how they match up.

My stiches are loose on the bottom of my banner - is it the bobbin or a tension issue?

If the threads on the back are loopy, you need to tighten the top tension. If you have a spare piece you may want to run some of the plastic through the machine until you get the tension correct. If the top tension is too loose, the stitching will just pull out.

My juki 8700 h frays thread while trying to sew

Hello Daniel, I suggest you start with a new needle. Back off the needle thread tension and the bobbin thread tension to a minimum and see how it sews. If it does not ravel the thread, you can increase the tensions until you acquire the stitch you want.

I have a new juki DL 8700 and the fuse keeps blowing off. Initially, the machine ran for almost 3 hours until fuse blown off.

You should make sure it is grounded. Also, is it getting oil from the pan? Blown fuses usually mean there is an overload in the motor. Check that the belt is not too tight.

Juki HZLG210 sewing machine. Why does it cut thread while sewing?

I am not familiar with this particular machine, but I found references to the thread cutter. Did you try turning it off? Could the cotton thread be rotten, have you tried sewing with button thread? Thread Trimming Function correlates with the scissors icon on the face of the machine. The G210 in unique in the fact that it has this function, which will automatically trim the thread for you, leaving virtually no mess! This one is a life saver as it relives you from having to spend time cutting and cleaning loose threads!
