There is not supposd to be any E1-02,...THERE IS an E1-20, it is saying you have a prob in your "optics" unit, possibly even the Lser unit...you should probably have a service man determine exact prob.

You might be able to download a manual here:

I'm not sure that model supports emailing scans. I couldn't find it in the manual. Just setting up the fax phone book on page 139.

The drum (green roller) is causing your problem. If it has toner on it, cleaning it will not help...it may make it worse. The unit has a cleaning station built into it, and when it fails the drum unit needs to be replaced.

Google "PANASONIC DP-1520 PRINT DRIVERS" or go to:
http://www.panasonic.com.au/support/downloads/file_type_results.cfm?fileTypeID=1&productCategoryID=28&productID=387
It's Panasonic Australia, but its the same ones I use. Use the GDI print driver to avoid any problems. Make sure you get the right one for your OS (ie WIndows XP, etc)

"p" I believe on this model means its out of paper. Need more info!

Panasonic Workio... | Answered on May 21, 2009

What problem? Need more info! On the Panasonic brand, you input the IP address through the "function" mode- "general" settings... go to last menu item "key operator" the code should be 3 or 4 zeros. Then go to the IP address item and enetr in the IP adress. Now you MUST TURN THE MACHINE OFF AND BACK ON TO LOCK IN THE IP ADDRESS! Go back into general setting and "print general settings" to see if it's still the same address.

Have you reseated the drum and toner?
It can be a drum cartridge problem. have you tried that?
You say copy or print, so I am asuming this is multifunction and you do both printing and copying.
1, Have you shook up the toner cartridge well.
After the drum and shaking the toner, I would suspect the transfer assembly, Off hand I cant remember of that machine has a transfer roller, or if there is a channel where there is a hair fine wire running through it.
The wire may have broken, or if its a roller making poor contact.
The laser is also possible. The transfer will be on the right had door assembly.
Take the cartridges out and see if there is anything laying loose in the machine,
what you are describing sounds more like a drum or transfer problem.
sounds very much like a defective transfer. And again, could easily be the drum.
Did you have a jam just before this occured? If you had a jam in particular in the right hand door, you broke the transfer wire.
Yeah, i am rambling huh?

there is high voltage or corona probleb in your copier contact any technical person

Panasonic Workio... | Answered on Apr 07, 2008

That is a laser unit error. If resetting the machine's power doesn't clear it up, then it means the laser unit is dead/dying. If that's the case, your only choice is to replace the laser unit.
